Sky Q with Sky HD
I see that Johnny 777 was able to keep his 2 Sky HD setups whilst having a Sky Q box fitted.
Would members who have also managed this, please advise the best way to achieve this situation, and, if the Sky HD box services were later discontinued, how long did this take. |

He didn't keep the Sky+HD active. They're his boxes, so the engineer left them for him to dispose of as he sees fit.
If they have viewing cards still, then they'll expire in the near future (usually less than a month) as Sky will stop sending the keepalive signal to them. |

I suggest you actually reread all the posts n that thread. You cannot have both a Sky Q and a Sky HD account simultaneously full stop. What happened is when you upgrade to Sky Q the old HD boxes are your property and the viewing card(s) if replaced with a new one remain active for a short time and if the old HD boxes are connected or remain connected they will continue to work for short time.
