Middle eastern culture is different to ours and will always be so and we do need their oil. If we don't sell them arms others will, and there is a chance we might be able to influence them so long as that oaf Johnson keeps away. That's all there is to it

What Nazi Germany was doing wasn't affecting us. What the Serbs were doing to Bosnians and Albanians wasn't affecting us.
What is happening in the Middle East and other parrts of the world is affecting us. It has led to a refugee crisis.
If somebody decides to rape the women of your family and kill the children of your family, presumably the police shouldn't do anything about it unless one of the victims works for the police.
i was shocked by the appeal. people starving to death its like band aid all over again. yes we should send money but surely the war needs stopping, no one ever wins.in the end

We aren't the police. Afaik, no one has called us in to sort it out.

The BBC are constntly running an Appeal. A bit tough on the homeless in the UK at Xmas but I guess that's life in our modern World.

I guess you've never heard off or worked with, Framework, Crisis, Shelter, Barnardos, Llamau, Salvation Army etc they cater for and Appeal all year round for the homeless.
Xmas is generally when more of the public become more aware of homelessness and do their bit, as demonstrated http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...-fife-38328702
So the beeb appeal for the victims will not be tough on anyone, that's decided by who the public wish to donate for and government policy.
