Pole dancing for exercise is very popular with women and the taboo is somewhat broken now about the activity.

Ladies would you ever want to perform in a strip club situation as another regular dancer?

Surely women who want to, already do.

I mean, what is the question you're asking here? Are you looking for answers from specific women on the board?

More for women who learn and practice in a studio for exercise but hadn't put any thought into dancing at a club for paying customers in less clothes.

I wanted to hear opinion if it's ever been done, or if they had thought about?

There's a big difference to pole dancing as a form of exercise, in the privacy of your own home or gym, to pole dancing in a club half naked in front of a bunch of lecherous punters drooling at you.

Is this still a thing? I thought people had moved on to zumba.

if you are a woman who does that for exercise you need to have a long hard look at yourself

There is no taboo, all you have to do is wear clothing from the 1920's and dance around half naked in a giant wine glass.

It's art then, such a fine line.

Other than most of the punters are not drooling or being lecherous. There's always at least one (not you necessarily) that think all men that go to strip clubs/pubs are sad old pervy lecherous gits. Well, you be wrong.

As for pole dancing, you can go to dance school to learn.

The men go for artistic and cultural enrichment?

Or to see boobs?

I think about it at the end of every month once I've been paid and a week later I'm skint -- Kidding though, I've never actually taken pole dancing classes! Can't even walk in heels never mind climb a pole

You mean in the mirror, while I'm naked? I do that all the time. Pole dancing has really made me look great.

Good on you.. that's exactly what the poster mean't i'm sure haha

Exercise should be encouraged no matter what the form of exercise it is. The government should make a tv advert campaign on this one!

I was only joking, but it does seem like a really good form of exercise. I'm more of a treadmill person myself, but that's because I'm lazy

It's just a shame that women can't even workout though, without someone being sleazy about it. Not everything has to be sexual

I know. To be fair the way women move their bodies is a beautiful thing. That's just fact, according to my eyeballs and biology anyway. lol

But I agree with you, of course it doesn't have to be sleazy. Only a very dumb person doesn't know the difference between a erotic sexual pole dancer/dance. And someone doing it for strength and fitness.
