The so called Black Beatles, lauded as the Billboard's Top 100 Songs of 2016 as the number 1 song

http://www.billboard.com/articles/ev...-songs-of-2016

"To say we needed a song like "Black Beatles" at the end of 2016 would be a "Hey Jude"-sized understatement: With the charts stagnant, the surprise-release schedule slowing down and the real world desperately needing distraction, Top 40 was begging for any kind of Invasion. That it came from Atlanta made as much sense as anywhere; years of rapturous reception on the Internet and hip-hop radio to local cult heroes like Future, Young Thug, and yes, no-flexing duo Rae Sremmurd, was bound to culminate with one smash crossing over to all levels of mainstream America. It'd be a song bleeding with raw underground energy and youthful vitality, with hooks enough to co-exist alongside Drake and The Chainsmokers in the pop stratosphere. And in the spectral hopscotch of "Black Beatles" -- featuring the joint blessings of ATL aural architect Mike WiLL Made-It and godfather MC Gucci Mane -- we finally had the song."

That is the gushing bolloxio that Billboard wrote. These money worshiping sexist punks who glorify drugs are vile sexist like most young black "singers" yet no one calls them out and the kids think they are "dope"

Rocking John Lennon lenses like to see 'em spread eagle
Took a bitch to the club and let her party on the table
Screaming, "Everybody's famous."
Like clockwork, I blow it all
And get some more
Get you somebody that can do both
Black Beatles got the babes belly rolling
She think she love me
I think she trollin'

Came in with two girls, look like strippers in their real clothes
A broke hoe can only point me to a rich hoe
A yellow bitch with green hair, a real weirdo
Black man, yellow Lamb', real life goals

She's a good teaser, and we blowin' reefer
Your body like a work of art, baby
Don't **** with me, I'll break your heart, baby
DnG on me, I got a lot of flavor

15 hundred on my feet, I'm tryna kill these haters
I had haters when I was broke, I'm rich, I still got haters
I had hoes when I was broke, I'm rich, I'm still a player
I wear leather Gucci jackets like its still the 80's
I've been blowin' OG Kush, I feel a lil' sedated
I can't worry about a broke nigga or a hater
Black Beatle, bitch, me and Paul McCartney related

Why on earth do we laud these sexist, racist black men?

You kinda lost me in all the protracted Hyperbole. Is your point that you think the term "black Beatles" is racist?

If he had said black beetles then it wouldn't have been racist as beetles are black

Maybe, someday, we'll get to the stage where it will be fine to address women casually as 'bitch' and 'hoe' but only if you're a woman. Apparently, that would be progress.

Put an ageing star in Celeb Big brother and he happens to call a women love and the internet breaks and he is evicted yet treat woman like dirt in a song if you are a young black male singer and you get 500,000,000 likes on youtube and a private jet

I weep for mankind if we ever get to that point when we can casually call women bitches and hoes.

Do you laud them?
I don't laud them
And if you don't laud them
then who are 'we'?

It's not just sexism. I went in a London bar where a Reggae Roast event was on with Suggs from Madness doing a guest appearance and they played a song with lyrics such as "Boom bye bye in a batty man head" and one of the singers then sang "boom bye bye" like a choir boy. No one seemed shocked and I don't think anyone complained. I should add that Suggs didn't join in with the homophobia. I've seen the same thing in a notorious reggae club in London which was shut down by the police and council.

I find 'gangsta' rap (or whatever it's called now) utterly repulsive - violent, misogynistic shite of the lowest form.

Ironically the only one with any talent is Eminem who is white - I just put his name into google and look at this story.

http://www.itechpost.com/articles/64...ogg-dr-dre.htm

Most of those who run the business are f*****g violent criminal scum. Shooting each other at the drop of hat.

Yet the genre seems to almost escape criticism.

I wonder why?

Can't understand why this stuff is even allowed to be sold myself, it's basically hate speech. And there's the homophobic crap too.

Even worse that this particular band trade on the name of the band who refused to play segregated venues in America.

And they mention Lennon who wrote "Woman Is The ****** Of The World". (Ironically it appears I'm not allowed to write the N word in the title). Well here's a link to the Lyrics http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/johnl...ftheworld.html , looks like these fools need to educate themselves.

'We' may not be talking about, but even I - completely disinterested in that kind of music - know that there are many people who are 'out there' talking about it. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=se...p+music+videos

You just aren't looking in the right places if you think that 'we' or even 'they' are okay with it. For all the many who laud this stuff, there are many who don't.

Seems like you need to read the lyrics to Lennons song too.

Show myself up? I'm just saying that I found it difficult to understand. That's a fact. It's irrelevant whether anyone else understood it.

Because most sensible people know its an act and most guys over 14 don't take advice from rappers and pop stars.

that is very naive to think music "stars" do not influence people hugely. Even more so now with youtube and social media

its not sensible people who murder, attack, mutilate, oppress and abuse people..

Quite an assertion. You sound like you might be somewhat racist.

You could say that what Bernard Manning did was an act too.

Of course - out comes the R' word again.

I was waiting for the first post to accuse someone of the word so frequently used to shut down all rational discussion.

Have you any evidence for this?

No.

I just happen to enjoy a couple of Eminem's tracks such as 'Stan' - which is more than I can say for the rest of them black, white or sky-blue bloody pink.
