I've followed her and Jermaine's storyline closely this year. Plus when she was sectioned. Now the two of them appear to have split up, what's next for Belle, do we reckon?

Well, the actor's recent interview points to a permanent exit. Who knows.
I was honestly totally baffled by this storyline. It felt like they had no idea where to take it. I really like the actress who plays Belle, but even she seemed half-hearted in it.
Started as a steamy affair, then turns into him manipulating her into looking like a stalker, and her having a breakdown, then he suddenly decides he loves her and moves in, even though the whole thing lost him his wife, his home and his career. I mean, what the hell?
No idea where they'll go with her now. I don't have a lot of confidence in the storyliners right now, to be honest. It'd be good to see Belle given the chance to lead a proper adult life. She needs new friends, to be honest. At the moment, she's got a good dynamic with Cain, but that's about it.

BIB: He had already lost all of those things when she showed up pretending to be pregnant. I believe he moved in with Belle out of a sense of duty - perhaps his feelings grew from there - however it is my belief that the writer's just chose to make a character out of dr Bailey before his inevitible exit making the best out of a terrible situation.
As for Belle's future, who knows?
There's no-one her age in the village that she can interact with outside of her family so I suppose she will remain one of the Dingle's until she has another breakdown.

Course there is, there's a new sl for every character sooner or later. The writers just haven't thought of it yet.
I imagine she'll become the Deborah Meaden of the Cordial world and meet a whole new set of people that way, until she gets head hunted or bought out by Coca-Cola, becomes a millionairess overnight and turns into Kim Tate.

I could see that.
Maybe she could win the lottery...I did like her storyline where she was seeing Ellie and hearing voices. It was very well done. I didn't like Dr Bailey very much and I hope he doesn't return. I'd like to see Belle become well off financially in her own right and have the Dingles be a bit Hyacinth Bucket in Belle's new posh house if she could afford one. Then she could meet someone nice. I'm not sure about her having more mental illness, not for a long while anyway.

Once someone has a mental illness it never goes. It can be controlled up to a point but it can't be cured, it's always there.

Of course, what I meant was I don't want to see another lengthy storyline about her mental illness for a while. I take medication for schizophrenia and depression and have seen a psychiatrist for years. Sometimes I get more ill but I'm more or less OK.
