If you don't believe that Russia hacks the brains of any leave voter, you're clearly an alt-righter who wants to spread "fake news".

Apparently if you won't be voting for Merkel in Germany next year, it's because of Putin's propaganda.

I don't think Bradshaw will ever live this down, he has really shown himself up to be a complete buffoon.

I watched a politico commentry a week or two ago, a couple of unknowns (to me) chatting about the Russians being responsible for everything and anything that some deem to be politically unsavoury and one made an astute (but TIC) comment. Basically, the whole world should just give up now and bow down to Putin and the Russians because apparently they are able to infiltrate the entire of western societies culture and thinking bringing influence over great swathes of people directly and indirectly to such great and efficient effect. Something all the military and intelligence agencies everywhere and at every poiint in time will have been awestruck with.

Personally I prefer the apparently less hyperbolic approach that Brexit is responsible for everything and will be for the next 2000 years.

The establishment dare not look itself in the mirror "Putin is to blame" Brexit, now Trump, probably

Quote:
“"Certainly in the French presidential election, they will be involved, and there are already serious concerns in the German secret service that Russia is already interfering in the elections coming up.

"We've got to wake up to this."”

Careful! You know the Government is reading every word you write, don't you? And they haven't got a sense of humour.

(If MARTYM8 disappears we'll know he's had the knock on the door in the middle of the night).

I'm not going to comment on Brexit but MI5 said there was strong evidence of Russian involvement in the anti fracking movement in UK. They don't want shale gas production due to impact on international prices.

Well, it's FSB now and has been for a while, so you are a generation out in your reference and not the sort of mistake that I would expect from a highly trained agent. Of course, I do appreciate that your reference may have been deliberate to make people think you are not an FSB agent with an amusing quip complete with error. But, now i've said that those that thought you weren't now may think you are and i've blown your cover, which another agent wouldn't do, proving that I am not FSB (but maybe Mossad?).

Why not? It's a thread about MP Bradshaw believing its probable the Russians fixed the Brexit vote. Are we to infer you too think them damn Ruskies were at it in June?

Even if they had what would it have achieved?

I think Bradshaw must be watching the boxset of Humans and thinks that all those politicians who supported Brexit are actually synths that the Russians programmed covertly when they were on charge.

nah, the Brexit vote is too low profile for the likes of GRU, who mainly deal in military intelligence. It's the SVR who's into the civilian intelligence .

Britain and America have an ongoing record of interfering in the affairs of sovereign states as long as your arm. That Russia also dabbles in this should be a surprise to no one. The faux moral outrage from idiots like Bradshaw should be treated with the contempt it deserves.

There is no moral high ground to be had here and Bradshaw with his mock indignation can piss right off, frankly.”

State secrets! found another hacker guys

In America the suggestion is Russia hacked the Democratic email accounts and passed details to Wiki Leaks, you may recall Donald Trump encouraged Russia to continue hacking Hilary Clinton's emails.

In this country didn't Leave campaigners announce MI5 agents were going to rig the vote by rubbing out pencilled leave votes. Maybe it was a double bluff by Russia and it was their agents with rubbers that tried to alter the votes to Leave but failed as they'd been supplied with condoms rather than erasers.

Was that actually an MP in HoC, or was it a spoof sketch, a kind of "Thick of it" special for Children in Need?

That's the funniest thing i've seen for days. As a pro-Remainer i can confidently say not in a million years did russia influence even one vote for Brexit. And so far there's still not a jot of evidence they had anything to do with the email leaks in US elections, and its unlikely there ever will be because they probably didn't do that either. Nor are Russia the evil ones in Aleppo after clearing out the jihadi terrorists, incl 9/11 bombers Al Qaeda, from the City (although in some isolated cases they have acted abysmally with regard human life of some locals).

The establishment in the West now seem to want to blame anyone bar themselves. Recent US govts and Hillary Clintons dishonesty and incompetence singlehandedly got the nightmare that is Trump. Recent govts int the UK singlehandedly got a Brexit result with their incompetence and disregard for the populus.

Of course it was Russian hackers! But people are getting it wrong in their assumptions about the game that was played. Back in 2013 when they realised that they had a chance of getting some serious divisions into the tory party, they started work on manipulating the stencil selection software in the vehicle painting department, and by the time anybody realised what had happened, nobody wanted to admit it said the wrong thing because they had all assumed it was correct and had already sent out all the pamphlets which included the text that had been copied verbatim from the side of the bus as it went past.

So yeah, it was Russian hackers wot done it.
