I voted Hollyoaks, although I have only been watchig since July. It is amazing. Corrie from Jan till May was one of the worst soaps ever like EE from Aug till now has been terrible. EE in the first half of the year was also not that good. Emmerdale comes a second best to hollyoaks. Most things have been great. I have only watched Neighbours since Summer but it is pretty bad. The writings for kids and teens is rediculously cringy. Hone and Away is slightly better. I started watching when the Morgans joined and the are one of my favourite soap families. Doctors is one of the worst soaps, behind only EE. Casualty has not been at its best. I have only started watching Holby City recently but it seems ok. River City I have only been watching a month or so, so I cant really comment. Dont watch the Archers, the American ones or the welsh one which I cant pronounce.

Neighbours for me but most people think Emmerdale is the best soap at the moment.

This is about the whole year. Even if u think EE is good now, SOC has only been in charge since September.

i know, sorry i should of said, i think Eastenders has been fine for the full year, the year started off really strongly with Stacey's storyline, yes ok Peggy's exit wasnt the absolute best but i still enjoyed the show at that time, loved seeing Grant back, and have really enjoyed it since SOC has taken over

I actually prefer Eastenders to Emmerdale, generally, but Emmerdale has clearly been better this year IMO.

There was a very strong start to the year, Stacey's Psychosis and Charlie's death, and I disagree with you, although I didn't like Peggy I thought her exit was excellent. Grunt's return and the Mark reveal was an unmitigated disaster and ever since it's been treading water. Some good episodes and also a lot of utter tripe. SOC has vastly improved the characterisation and the writing, so although I have disagreed over the exits, I suspect next year could be a strong year for it. This year, however, Emmerdale pips it, largely for me because of the wonderful John Middleton and the dementia story. First time I've ever voted ED ahead of EE in such a poll.

I actually prefer Eastenders to Emmerdale, generally, but Emmerdale has clearly been better this year IMO.
Ditto

Put all the others together and between them they haven't come even close to having Emmerdales impact this year.
