I have always wondered that if a player that is World class and was avaliable to buy. Would you be happy if your club signed him, even if he had a funny name that sounded dirty like

Tosspot

Or

Bastard

Or something similar

A couple of days ago, you complained about post-match interviewers asking 'stupid questions'..

Then, ....this. In it's own thread.

What is this thread got to do with interviewers asking stupid questions. All the thread is saying is that if you would be happy if your club signed a player that has a funny name which sounds dirty

Arsenal already did, once - though only part of his name was "dirty"

You complained. I'm complaining.

Still, I'll play along. Yes, I'd be happy if my club signed a player with 'a funny name that sounds dirty', if he was decent.

If he wasn't decent, I'd be unhappy. But his name wouldn't be the reason.

We'll get more moronic threads like this once the football sub forum is promoted when the forum upgrade is done.

Hopefully not, I don't really see why we should, hopefully we might get more people posting though, as it would be a better forum if it were busier.

Debatable.

Quantity doesn't neccessarily equal quality.

True, but I am willing to see what this place is like when it is a bit busier, if it means more silly posts, then we will cross that bridge and deal with it appropriately, if not, and we get some good new posters, then even better.

The closest footballer name to the definition of dirty is Messi, so I'd be alright with it.

Who was that ex Celtic player? Schedt or something like that?

Bloody hell. Is this the level of conversation we can expect when football is on the main board?

One of the few things that I'm happy about with the proposed changes is the dislike option. This thread was made for it. Prepare yourself owen10......
