I'm hoping Louise and Ore have a lot of real life support.

There's no doubt in my mind they've both got a wiff of the forum and social media negativity and hate (yes, hate) directed at them. Both seem to be really nice, friendly, decent people, who have done nothing wrong. They just took part in strictly, and its supposed to be a fun and exiting experience. Hopefully this negativity doesn't ruin it for them.

I felt awful for Peter Andre, he did nothing to deserve the hate he got, that was brutal.

And to lesser extent, I feel for Jo and Kevin, too. They're only doing their job to their best ability, they don't deserve the crazy rumours started about them, only because they've managed to make it to the Strictly final with their celeb partners. Some of the 'gossip' can actually be really harmful, too.

Let's hope they have very thick skins to take the flak from the Press and social media if either of them do win. There'll be so many negative comments they'll probably wish they hadn't lifted the glitter ball, scrub that out , poisoned chalice.

I'm sure Louise and Ore (and Danny) are all grown adults who have gotten used to criticism (warranted or not) thanks to careers in the limelight. They all have had both positive and negative comments across social media this series and I'd like to think they're able to tune out the negativity. I'm sure they're all busy enjoying the final week of training - and their sizeable pay cheques thanks to making the final - not scrolling through their mentions and this forum to read that they're beige or arrogant or cry too much.

I do agree that the negativity (aimed at all three of them and their pros) has reached ridiculous levels though. It's a shame we can't all just enjoy these last few days - whether or not we like all the contestants/think it's fixed/hate the judges/believe in a government level Clifton conspiracy.

I agree but why just Ore and Louise? Danny has come in for all kinds of spite too. None of them deserve it. They joined the show to learn to do ballroom dancing and whilst doing that entertain us - which they have. I'm amazed any celebrity wants to do the show considering the negativity and nastiness that comes with it. From the 'news' papers trying to dig up sleeze to social media just being unbelievably nasty! It's just a light entertainment show not the ballroom version of Game of Thrones!

Ore and Louise have had the most, that's the point and yes it's unnecessary for all.

I think the problem is that people get carried away with what they say. Now I don't like Ore but I wouldn't say I hate him but theres something about him that I don't like. Now surely I am able to say that without being called negative.

I quite like Louise and I was pleased when I saw she was taking part but, unfortunately, with the overmarking she has received especially in the semi final, it does tend to make you feel that there is a bit of favouritism.

We cant all like the same people and, so long as people don't go too far, then I don't see that they are being negative.

Last year I supported Jay and there was a lot of nasty comments on here about him but unfortunately that's what you get with a forum where people are keyboard warriors.

There were even more about Kellie. I think Georgia was the only one who escaped the knives.

I think it's sometimes easy to forget that they all signed up for this.

Their manager/agent would have taken the through the contract and they agreed to it.

They do get paid.

They are all used to the spotlight.

No one is holding a gun to anyone's head.

They are all grown ups.

They way that people go on about the 'pressure' is ridiculous. You do know that a lot of what they say is scripted?

It is a job, for which they get paid and get a lot of publicity into the bargain.

If it was that bad no one would do it.

Those who don't just say 'No'. This lot said 'Yes'

OP, they all signed up for a well paid TV reality show and exposure to the strange fan pack antics of the viewers of this type of show. Eyes wide open. Them's the breaks and them's also the paychecks. I really wouldn't distress yourself on their behalf.

That said, it would be nice if the strange fan pack antics weren't part and parcel of this type of show. But however much we wish it, it ain't so and it ain't going to be so.

My thoughts precisely. No need to concern troll the finalists. I'm sure they're entirely fine.

Over the past couple of days I've noticed a lot more positive posts about Ore appearing on social media and the anit/hate posts have almost stopped. I guess the Claudia supporters have got bored with protesting.

Don't worry by Saturday we'll be watching a fantastic & exciting final and all this BS will be a fading memory ... Unless Ore wins

It happens every year. I don't know why we have to be so precious about Louise and Ore. It goes with the territory when you are involved in any type of competition.

Thing is Ed Balls and to some extent JR were slaughtered by people on facebook and twitter especially. Now others 'faves' are getting a bit of flak they don't like it up 'em.

What pressure...the weight of their wallets or which bank account to pay their money in to??
tbh honest I think they are ALL thick skinned. Most of 'em probably don't read the stuff on social media.....notice on twitter they all 'post' but how many times do they 'reply' ??

To be honest all this, I have always wanted to learn to dance is a bit much really.

As if ANYONE is stopping them.

All they had to do was sign up for lessons.

Hahahaaaa!

Ain't that that the truth? I am always amazed the audience fall for the story lines:

I've always wanted to be graceful
I dreamed of doing this one day
I am a HUGE fan and I love glitter and want to dress up
My manager made me do because my career is sinking ........oh hang on

I see what you did there. I was thinking yeah, maybe they might need it if Oti is thwarted in her mission.
