This thread is becoming unpleasant. Gorka was attacked.
And now it emerges he had a bust up with his ex girlfriend that very night. This whole story didn't ring true from early on and now who'd believe a word of it other than the very gullible? |

you say that as if it's an established fact. Which it isn't. The police certainly don't think so given the lack of evidence.

People always show themselves up when they do this. They protest they're not interested - except they're interested enough to read the whole thread and even go to the bother of posting about it.

Pointless to speculate really. Just because no evidence has been found it doesn't mean that didn't happen though it does seem less likely.
I do feel for him though. Must be hard to know people are gossiping about a painful experience (and something bad obviously happened to cause the injury.) Sad to learn that he's broken up with Lauren too. Hope they're both okay. |

Or alternatively, they had a row, Gorka was drunk and stumbled and went arse over tit. I've known it to happen - a friend lost four teeth falling off a pavement.
I think either of these could be the real sstory. Why else would he refuse to speak to the police? There was some pretty heavy accusations of racism, brexitmania and homophobia in the last thread, none of which appear to be what happened. I hope these people think twice in future before hijacking something that happened with their own prejudices. |

Mods I hope you close this thread. It is gossip, speculation and hearsay . I work in a world where this sort of thing damages people. Someone they don't even know. Just leave the guy alone. Stick to talking about the dance program.

People are going to speculate about the bggest show on television. A statement ought be issued by Gorka to silence the rumours.
He is very lucky that he did not make complaint to the police at the time. |

Interesting that a thread about this wasn't closed when all comers were slagging off Blackpool and saying it was too dangerous to go out there - no doubt having a negative effect on the revenues and tourism of an already struggling northern town

To be fair, that's not untrue. Every friend I have who's been out round Blackpool has had some form of trouble. It's the same in any place where you get people coming from all over the country for the nightlife - people aren't going to know each other and know they will be out of the area the next day so they go mental and do what they want.

Its pretty obvious either his ex girlfriend is the one who hit him, or someone associated with her. He never reported the attack, the police only get involved because the 'attack' got leaked to the press due to his 'celebrity' status.
Leave the man alone. Also no reason why he should not come back or be asked back. This has NOTHING to do with his ability as a dancer or choreographer. |

I too have been to blackpool and not had a sniff of trouble. Probably helps that I turn in early on friday and saturday nights and then at the winter gardens til late on Sunday.
Doesn't mean that there aren't fights and stuff, but you see it in town and city centres everywhere and is not specific to blackpool which imo is a really fun place to go when you're up for all the stereotypical blackpool things eg seeing the illuminations, getting your fortune told, going to the tower, getting rock, going to the arcades etc. And if you're a latin and ballroom dancer there's no better place to dance than the winter gardens.

It happens.......... Who knows? And at the end of the day, it's his business, not ours. |

How very odd. Perhaps Blackpool can now have an apology from all the people who slagged the town off?
