I am a huge soap fan and none of my friends or family watch during the week

"Hi all,
Welcome back! We have successfully completed the migration of all the user data from 2000 through the Wednesday we placed the forums as read-only.

This preliminary process was necessary as we needed to check that all user associated data - private messages, posts, threads, polls, emails etc - can come across seamlessly. We identified a few issues that we can now iron out when we do a final migration of all user data from this point on.

We appreciate your patience and we apologise for the interruption to your forum enjoyment. We are hopeful that when we begin the next migration, we can take our learnings and speed up the process."

Looks like the forums aren't new yet, only stage 1 is done... of however many.

You're not the only one. Half the fun of watching soaps is coming on here and having a good moan about them.

Same! I had this horrible fear that there would be some massive soap news and we wouldn't be able to discuss it!

It must have been quite difficult for everyone to manage without my moral guidance and deep soap insights.

DS is like a comfy pillow for me after work.

Even if it can be frustrating on here at times.

I meant to say that they're aren't different, but that explains it James, thanks.

Been in bed ill all day and could really have done with a DS pick-me-up ...

I agree. I found it very strange watching the soaps last night without the ds episode threads

Same. I resorted to looking at peoples' comments on Twitter but it just wasn't the same. They don't "get it" on there.

Yeah twitter isn't the same although I enjoyed my brief twittering with the sexy paramedic from EE A while back

it was and I was like "we ARE MISSING 2 BILLION JOKES ABOUT PHILL AND HIS NEW LIVER" ..

What's actually different though?
Nothing - it was a forum test move, which they could have done without closing the forums ..

You're different to me. When I'm ill in bed the last thing I want to do is go on my computer - but that's just me

Nothing.

The truth is... DS Forum Support only closed down the forum because he was on a extended toilet break.

Apparently he's been suffering with a rather extreme case of diarrhea over the past few days.
