Rad was one of Spicolli's worse gimmicks much preferred him as Madonna's Boyfriend.

Ronnie Radford is the only one I know. After 40 odd years I am a trifle fed up of seeing THAT goal every time FA Cup giant killings are spoken about on TV.

It's not ignorant that people have never heard of them, but it's ignorant to make silly comments on something they have never seen
Find out first, then comment

I don't feel that they are shoved down my throat. I've heard of them and seen them on tv but it's not as if they are there every day.

I must live a sheltered life as I have never heard of them.

I thought perhaps it was Robert Radford and family we were discussing.

I realise that. But they have been on TV, on the news ,magazines and newspapers so many times

It's a different matter about series made in the USA
I wouldn't expect to be familiar with them if they haven't been on UK tv
They've not been on a single programme I have watched or a magazine I have read. I don't buy newspapers. If they have been on the BBC news website it must have been a day I didn't catch up with events.

They've been on channel 5 several times, and been featured in many magazines and newspapers
They were on This Morning today
They have their own website

I only watch stuff on kodi and don't buy magazines so I guess that's why I've never heard of them.

If there's that many of them, there's a good chance that I'm one. But I don't think so.

I read these posts in quick succession and started singing (who, who.... ).
This is EXACTLY how the Stones wrote Sympathy For The Devil, you know.

Just google, go to their website, perhaps, and then make informed comments, not ignorant ones!
Dunno about that. The OP knows about them, and he/she's sick of them. And from what I know about them (largely from the OP's OP) they sound like a thoroughly wholesome bunch. It'd be awful if I went to all the effort of finding out about someone only to end up judging them harshly for no good reason other than that I knew a lot about them.

The Radfords were ages ago. Father Karl Radford has even regenerated into Sergeant Callum Stone.
Oh, I was thinking of Kitty Radford, who used to be head teacher of a comprehensive school, then became a successful madam and took up with Inspector Frost.

Doesn't exactly add to the thread to have so many posters saying they've never heard of them!

Well, we can reasonably surmise that those of us who have never heard of them must necessarily not be sick of them, thereby answering the original quesstion.

Judging by the replies, if the only people who posted were those who were sick of hearing about the Radfords, it would be in the running for GD's shortest thread!

Dude asked a question. So far I think we can reasonably assume the answer is, on balance, "no, mate, it's just you". Seems fairly productive to me.

I turned the TV on this morning whilst getting ready for work and I heard their name and thought "oh god, not them again" and promptly switched over!

I don't feel that they are shoved down my throat. I've heard of them and seen them on tv but it's not as if they are there every day.
It seems like its every Christmas! It's almost become a tradition like The Snowman or Elf.

It'd be awful if I went to all the effort of finding out about someone only to end up judging them harshly for no good reason other than that I knew a lot about them.
Oh I'm sorry I must have mistook you for the other stoatie that frequents the BB forums on here where we discuss housemates in the way you just described for no good reason other than that you know a lot about them.

Yeah, that won't be me. I used to do that, sure, back when I watched BB, but to be honest the last time I did that was the CBB with Galloway being the cat. Now I don't really watch much telly (well, apart from Netflix or bingeing on shows I've downloaded or got on DVD; I mean, I don't watch any telly at all that isn't something I specifically want to see- haven't had an aerial for years and I don't have Sky or any of that malarkey), and therefore have no idea who the Radfords are. Haven't been in the BB forums for maybe six or seven years, maybe more?

Why would I go out of my way to find out about someone just so I could say whether or not I was sick of them?

If there's a stoatie out there who frequents the BB forums, could you please point me in his direction so I can tell him to stop using my name? Gimme a link to one of his posts and I'll do it myself.
