Not realistic at all - Kush is a gorgeous guy in his 20s; he just wouldn't be hooking up with a heavily pregnant 47 year old.

Hes 30, and it actually happens more than people think. Well, not the heavily pregnant part, but men getting with older women. Denise is absolutely gorgeous, vibrant, lovely character, and its very realistic that Kush is attracted to her.

I juse struggle to see how Kush could possibly interested in someone like Denise. Putting the age difference aside, her downtrodden personality is absolutely soul-sucking to be around.
I despise Denise as her storylines are 99.9% are utterly unwatchable. I like Kush though and he deserves better than this lousy (let alone unrealistic) romance. |

She can be miserable at times, but she has a fun side to her. We see the happy side of Denise when she's with Kush. It really isn't unrealistic. |

Kush has had horrible sl too. Flirting with his fiance's best friend, having a baby with her, marrying hs fiance. He's not been the center of joy and sunshine either.
I enjoy both characters and they're a good fit. |

I'm not really fond of many couples in EastEnders and there's a few I enjoy, eg: Mick/Linda, Martin/Stacey, Ian/Jane, Whitney/Lee to name a few but I think pairing up Denise/Kush would do wonders for both characters. It's evident that Diane and Davood have electrifying chemistry, in my opinion. I'd be saddened if they don't continue the Denise/Kush romance because there is a lot of potential for them together and it'd be interesting to see a younger man in a relationship with someone at least 15 years older than him but Kush admires Denise's strong personality and she's a good-looking woman.

Whorenise is a terrible character who sucks all the energy out of all scenes she appears in.

I like Whitney/Lee but Denise/Kush are the only couple that I proper care about. Like you said, the actors have great chemistry. As someone said earlier in the thread, I think that the Christmas kiss was put in as a hint that Denise and Kush's relationship will be revisited. There was also an interview with Davood back in August where he said that there's loads more to come out of Denise and Kush's relationship. I agree that there's loads of storyline potential. Quote:

I like Denise and I think I would like to see her with Kush. Yes, she's about 14 years older than him but that happens in real life. (My daughter's dad is 11 years younger than me). You don't get as much uproar from fans when the man is older.

It's a double standard. No one would care if it was the other way around. |

I'm so glad I'm not the only Denise/Kush shipper. I wish they'd made Denise's baby as Kush's. I hate that she is now saddled to Phil for life

![]() ![]() I wish that too. It made more sense to make Kush the father. Maybe she actually gives up the baby or even if she keeps the baby, she doesn't tell Phil the truth. |

Me too. It's nice to discuss them with other fans.

Initially I thought it would have something to do with his liver, but now all I can see happening is a soon-to-be-rejuvenated King Philith stomping round to Denise's to growl and grunt about "'is daaaaaughta!". The joys It kind of bugs me that everyone on the Square has to be tied to the Mitchells, one way or another. Kush and Denise's having a baby and navigating their age-gap relationship would've been far more interesting. |

If the baby was Kush's, but she didn't want it, she would feel more conflicted about giving it up for adoption because she has feelings for Kush. |

It seems pointless making Phil the father. If Denise ends up keeping the baby, I would find it very unrealistic. She has made it clear that she has no interest in being a mother again, regardless of the fact that Phil is the father. Also she hasn't really shown any real emotional connection to her baby. Like has she even looked at her baby scans and until Libby came along, she hadn't bought anything for the baby.
