I don't think the producers would have made the kid Phil Mitchell's baby if they intended for it to be adopted and disappear without trace but who knows. I can see Phil being depressed after his op and terrified of his body rejecting the new liver and then the knowledge that he's got another son or daughter out there giving him a fresh purpose.

The storyline was created under DTC so SOC might not have any interest in Phil having a baby. There's no real drama in the baby right now. If the child gets adopted, the child come back when he/she is older. I don't see why Denise would admit the truth to Phil.

If the two he's got don't give him purpose then one more won't help, especially as he's a bit of a racist.
