Nope - I lost all respect for him when he humiliated Will Young. He should not speak to anyone like that at any time, let alone in front of millions of viewers.
![]() After that he was inclined to over compensate by being too nicey-nicey, which makes him look like he is not being genuine. I wouldn't mind seeing 'guest' judges on the panel. |

Remembering all the fuss and speculation when Arlene Phillips was replaced and when Alesha Dixon left, I definitely did not miss the former, and because I liked the latter, it took me some time to "warm" to the outsider Darcey.
Yes I will miss Len, but the Len of the Series 1 up to 11, not the later jet-lagged Len. It will take me time to warm up to whoever replaces him. But I would weep buckets if either Craig or Bruno left. so that's a no, no, BBC.

I won’t miss him either. He has become increasingly prickly in the last two or three years, and I find that offputting. It will be interesting to see who replaces him, however. Also, will his replacement automatically become Head Judge or will they promote one of the others to that role? All three of them have heavyweight dancing credentials, but not in ballroom.

He's been tetchy for several years now as if he's going senile. He was probably strained too much by travelling back and forth to do the US show. He's been completely on autopilot for a while now. If he said once more "You came out...", there are viewers who will be needing a new telly cos they put the boot in the old one.

I used to like Len. I thought he was the voice of reason and he, with his career in ballroom, dancing himself and teaching, was always looking for the right technique and proper dance content. But the last few years, although he still did, that to a certain extent, he let personal preferences cloud his judgements. His bias towards his ' favourites ' has stopped him being even handed. Particularly this year and last year, he lost consistency, picking up on wrong footwork and illegal lifts and lack of dance content in some but totally ignoring it in his favourites
He has become rude and sometimes nasty, in the way he speaks to celebs. I also think he was totally wrong to, as he did last year with Kellie Bright, tell the viewers who should be the winner, this year, Ore. At his age he couldn't keep travelling between U.K. And U.S as it obviously takes its toll on him. He had to give one up, so he has followed the money. DWTS he gets £1 million + |

Yes I will miss Len, although I now FF all the waffle, I just watch the dancing... Len and Brucie
went a long way in making SCD great for me. I don't think Len likes the new version of strictly, and I don't blame him for getting out of there. |

I always remember how nasty he was to Kelly Brook, because she had missed a lot of training one week. It later transpired that she had been with her father, who was dying, yet she still honored her commitment to turn up and dance on the show. I can't believe that the BBC and Len weren't fully aware of her circumstances at that time.

It's kind of like he has been absent for a while and just going through the motions. I miss the old Len who cared about keeping the dancers to the rules.

It wont quite be the same without him, it might be better, it might be worse. Time will tell.
Out of the judges and presenters there are others that would be missed less. |
