Why do the crowd always feel the need to sing the Kolo/Yaya Toure song every 20 minutes? Do they not realise how stupid they sound?
I have to mute the volume as soon as that song starts, which is annoying because I like the commentary. |

Add to that the "Stand up if you love the darts" and "Boring boring tables" songs it can be unwatchable

I know it's not easy to schedule a 72-player tournament around Christmas but it does seem faintly absurd that Jamie Lewis has had to wait a fortnight to play his second round game after his first round victory.

Yes that's mad I just checked it and Jamie Lewis won on the opening night of the tournament! To be fair Snakebite was the night after so he's had 12 days off as well.
The guys who got their second round game in pre christmas have a much more evenly spread schedule Adrian Lewis only had 4 days between round 1 and 2 in comparison to Jamies Lewis's 13! |

Peter Wright looked in excellent form tonight in that 4-0 win over Jamie Lewis.
If he keeps that up he'll take some beating. EDIT: Actually won 12-1 in legs format! |

Hopefully we should now get more competitive games now we're into the real heart of the tournament and the main contenders are all beginning to get up to peak performance. |

As form goes recently he is second to MvG I would say, he is so consistent that was class.
It would be a tragedy if someone this good doesn't win a major. |

What a start from Benito van de Pas!
But Anderson still takes the set! Amazing opening set from both players, Anderson averaging 114 to Benito's 102. |

Sensational darts from Anderson here.
He averaged 115 in that set to go with the 114 from the opening set ![]() And still Benito is only 2-0 down because he lost the deciding leg in both sets. |

Ridiculously high average from Anderson and he still had to win both sets in deciding legs! Credit to how well Benito is playing.

Few players starting to lay a marker down now to MVG, lot of 100+ averages from the big boys.
Could be some crackers (copyright Mr P Taylor ) in the later rounds if this form is kept up.

I am thinking of going to Ally Pally and starting a new song.
What do you think ? "Stay seated and watch the darts, if you love the darts. Oh and stop bloody singing and watch the darts, if you love the darts." Do you think it will catch on ? |

Bit of a surge from Benito here - and he wins the set!
My goodness me, how he deserved that. To average 103 and lose 4-0 would have been cruel in the extreme. |

Anderson's got to wake up here, Benito's coming back. Quote:
But to lose 4-0 and average that high is a false figure. This is why I don't take all that much notice of averages. If you aren't getting a shot at a double then your average Is bound to be high.
