Much like Reyes last night Benito is hanging in here long term, lot of these guys back in the day would go a set or 2 down and give up or their level would drop.

Anderson wins an amazing match!

Stunning display from both players, but Benito deserves special credit for the way he stayed in contention when Anderson had that purple patch and won two sets.

I'm almost tempted to suggest that Benito and Cristo Reyes should have a consolation play-off

Brilliant match and credit to Benito to hang in there at 3-0 down.

A lot of potential winners this year and I personally don't think it will be Van Gerwen lifting the trophy on Monday night.

Anderson's got to wake up here, Benito's coming back.

Averages or no averages, Benito's performance tonight did not deserve a whitewash.
He didn't get whitewashed, he played well. But Anderson played superb

My point though - Had he lost 4-0 his average would have been higher than his average at losing 4-2.

Question

Had Barney not won this in 2007, would John 'ladies and gennerman' McDonald introduce him as the 4 times champion of the woooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlllllllllllllllllllllllldddddddddddd ? Or as "the former lakeside winner" ?

It does make me laugh how they count the BDO titles when they want to

Do they count Phil Taylors two BDO World titles when he introduces him

Lewis is getting a bit too preoccupied with the thought that Barney is deliberately slowing him down.

It's all in Lewis's head, but it's great that it would happen to him.

Lewis pulls it back to 2-2, if he'd gone 3-1 down there that was game over.

Not quite caught fire this game.

Lewis got a lucky break there, had Barney taken out that D16 he surely wouldn't have come back from 1-3.

Rather flat match so far, this one.

So we get the deciding set that many predicted - if not the route we got there by.

And the crowd are watching the darts for once!

Lewis is cracking here

Barney does it!

His nerve held, Lewis's didn't.

Peculiar, edgy game but that's what made it so compelling.

Looking like a repeat of the 2007 final in the quarters. They'll never repeat a game as great as that one but it could be a cracker. ( Huybrechts depending of course )

Why does Taylor not like players celebrating a big score or a leg ? He does it too. Double standards.

So if it is a Taylor/Barney QF , Sky will undoubtedly want it in the evening session, meaning them either moving the World number 1 or the current 2-time champ to the afternoon
