I missed the match you are talking about but it seem the crowd are ruining darts now, what happened of the days when they were asked to be quiet when it got out of order.

I wonder if anything has been said as the crowd for this match are the quietest ive heard them.

Klaasen on the comeback trail here

Chisnall's going to pull defeat from the jaws of victory here if he's not careful.

But he falls over the line 4-2!

Total ragbag performance from Klaasen.
Chisnall wasn't great either but deserved the win.

This was posted on another forum that I frequent, by someone who'd been roped in to going the other day. Speaks for itself, I think:

...It was a bit like if you take the massive t**t that everyone knows, who always has to be the loudest, drunkest, most obnoxious person in the room, and then combine him with a few thousand more who are exactly the same, and then they compete in a pissed-up 'banter off' to determine who really is the biggest **** in the land. I can only describe it as a combination of the worst Wetherspoon's in Britain, a WWE audience, and a mental asylum. The actual darts is utterly irrelevant as well, as no-one watches so much as a single arrow being thrown. They're all too busy laughing at the fella dressed as Macho Man Randy Savage who's just attempted to neck a four pint jug of lager, fallen down some stairs, and appears to have pissed himself (really). It was absolutely horrendous from start to finish, a living hell....

How much was Daryl Gurney having to bite his tongue in that interview?

And Rod Harrington comes back with the PDC's view, namely that if a player wants the untold riches that are in the game today, they have to deal with the antics of the drunken masses they play in front of who make those riches.
Harrington is a moron. He is obviously going to tow the PDC line because he's a Director, so to him whatever abuse a player gets is all down to his own fault, the crowd are always the innocent party.

I never listen to anything he says, because he just talks utter bollocks.

I used to go to the Matchplay at Blackpool and loved it. But the past few years that has been getting worse and worse. It is still the best PDC event for crowd behaviour I feel but its turning slowly.

Wadey struggling 3 sets to 1 down. Needs to pull good darts out and fast or he's gone

Really poor from Wade here not like him on doubles.

Can't see him getting back to be honest.

Michael Smith starting to make big mistakes now.

3-3 looking likely now... and there it is!

Wade's got all the momentum now

all on Smith now , if he goes to pieces and Wade carries on, it could be a Wade win

I've been to Ally Pally once and have no desire to return. I have however been to Lakeside a couple of times and it's like night and day. People still enjoy the refreshments but they are there to watch the darts and show best of order to the players. If you're not fussed about the dip in scoring quality and the 1970s vibes then it's a great day out.

Big James Wade fan here and it's coming together nicely now but Smith was so nearly over the line.

20, treble 17... bull - twice!

Born in my home town so always been a fan. He just is the 'nearly man' most of the time but exciting to watch.

Just then, soon as he went 3-3 there was only one winner and Smith knew it didn't he - you could see it, he just seemed to give up.

I agree it's Smith all over he just cracks, he will grow out of it I'm sure, he throws darts away.

Well happy

Yes, I think it's immaturity with him, rash throwing, like there's an excitable child in there?

Are you looking forward to Taylor / Huybrechts later?
