Incredible. Some of the crowd have their back to the action at 3-3, 2-2
Too busy singing the same old songs every other minute

So much talk about the crowd on here, it will never change but personally I like the singing and if they are facing the other way who cares.

Just enjoy the quality of these players.

Somewhat ironic that they're too busy singing "Stand up if you love the darts" to, er, watch the darts...

Great scoring as always by Chisnall but he bottled all of those last leg deciders.
A shame he can never quite get over the line as he is so good to watch.

The thing I don't understand is in darts there is no reason male and female players can't be equal as not a strength issue and at the top of the game it's more mental focus. But just look at the BDO averages and it's rare for a female player to get above the mid 70s when the top male players are mid 90s.
Mens hand-eye coordination is significantly better than womens.

But you cannot ignore the crowds

They affect the players, see Daryl Gurney yesterday

They spoil it for those who actually want to watch the darts. You can watch darts and have a pint without acting like a yob. I love darts but won't go to a PDC event again because of these idiots

I think a lot of them are City boys who are trying to be 'lads'

Yes I felt for Gurney a bit, but I mean watching here at home people keep going on about it, does it bother them that much than to talk about the amazing game that just took place.

My viewing of the two quarter-finals tonight has to be shared with something called Hull City vs Everton.

But Taylor vs RvB cannot really be missed!

Blink and you miss the first set.
Gurney played well enough and got pulverised!

This should have been a afternoon match. I get MVG is a big crowd pull but this match is going to be so one side compared to the two this afternoon.

You are saying this after this afternoons games. Would you be saying this had they both finished 5-1 ? Plus of course it should be in the evening. He is the player most people want to watch. More will watch him than Wade, that is a fact so why deprive them of that chance ?

Me too. You'd have got good odds on Gurney being the one of the last 8 to get a 9 darter. Never mind, he still won the leg which is the main thing.

6 180s to 3 for Gurney. Great match

You can see the difference , Van Gerwen is so used to the pressure , Gurney is playing well but you can see he isnt handling it as well

He is embracing the crowd a bit better , but you can see it still effects him

Just realised. If Taylor beats Barney we will have the top 4 seeds as the semi finalists. This has never ever happened in the PDC worlds
