If Barneveld wins tonight, will it be the first time ever there hasn't been a Englishman in the semi finals? It surely will be as Taylor makes at least the semi final pretty much every year for a long time.

I wonder how much John McDonald earns per night?

Honestly can't call this one. Lot of it comes down to which Barney turns up I think. Phil crumbles under pressure a bit these days which he never used to but will Barney start the head shaking like he does if it doesn't go his way....

Yes. Only one occasion there hasn't been at least one Englishman in the final. 2014 when MVG beat Wright. The other semi finalists were Whitlock and Lewis, so that is the closest we have come

Hi mate. Just noticed where you are from. City of culture indeed.

Everton just equalised by virtue of the Hull keeper punching the ball into his own goal.

And with that I was able in perfect timing to watch the start of Barney and Phil.

Bit of a shaky start from both

Taylor looks in control at this stage

Just when you think someone is taking control they go and mess it up

Brilliant from Barney! Never looked like winning that set but somehow pulled out a 167 and a 120 to win it!

Taylor doesn't like anything that does not involve him pissing someone else off.

We could see some antics from Taylor now.

what an odd match

Very odd, both have been very very poor. Yet Barney will randomly take out high finishes but then the next leg he could not take out a double to save his life.

Also I just hate the crowd singing the same stupid boring songs year after year (just a personal rant)

Barneys just totally switched off after going 3-1 up and now has let Phil back in.

Very flat game though.

that leg summed it up , Phil looks like he is back in control and then Barney pulls something out the bag

What a bizarre game, Barneys thrown a total load of tosh this leg when he desperately needed a good one!!
