You can't (or at least couldn't) but admire Taylor's skill and talent as a darts player, but as a person, he wouldn't be top of my list of darts players to spend an evening with. Why he gets to sit in the studio and exchange insults with Wayne Mardle when the world champion, a far more personable and interesting character does his interview "in public" on the floor is a mystery.
I fear that when he eventually does hang up the darts he'll be employed by Sky as a pundit / expert, or worse, as a commentator.
