PDC vs BDO..........I look at it in the same way as I do boxing
MvG is your Anthony Joshua and Scott Waites is more your Tyson Fury, both world champs but maybe not quite in the same class |

Nonsense the greatest will always be the one who's won the most in any sport anything less they can't be the greatest simple as that.
Ronnie is considered the greatest snooker player ever by many despite having two fewer world titles than Hendry. Messi the greatest footballer despite not winning the World Cup, Tiger Woods the greatest golfer despite winning four fewer majors than Nicklaus and so on. Its only a matter of opinion anyway. Its very hard to compare different era's, the conditions and the quality of players around at the time etc... |

Some guy on one of the Facebook pages saying he's fuming about Klaasen being in the PL because he "doesn't want to watch perverts".
Seems like he's oblivious to the fact that Taylor has a wildcard...... |

How come Phil Taylor had to have a Sky Wildcard to qualify
Barry Hearn has admitted he's looking at power scorers as opposed to steady Eddie types. If it was chosen on form alone then Suljovic should have been there instead of Huybrechts. Clearly it's a case of 180s are better from an entertainment perspective than players like Mensur. |

Van de Pas should be in no explanation from Hearn why Suljovic was not in

Is Phil Taylor the only other darts player to will all the Darts majors and the World Championship in one year
Just that in the darts, the PDC Worlds is classed as the first tournament of the season not the last, even if they are still played in December of the old year and in far more of December than in January. Even though Taylor holding the lot with the worids the last of them he won is not classed as the grand slam because he never happened to do it in the correct order. Thinking about, it after winning the PDC Worlds, Van Gerwen holds the lot too, but he hasn't won them all in the right order either. Holding all PDC televised titles at the same time is a phenomenal achievement for both Van Gerwen and Taylor even if neither have achieved it in the correct order. |

I think he must have done it a few times (held them all at the same time) despite those who said he's never done it.

It msy be the hardest feat there is because after a PDC World championships win you are running on empty for much of the rest of the year, and there has never been long break to recharge the batteries like the snooker had for many years. The other big PDC dart tournaments come thick and fast soon after the PDC Worlds. |

Is Taylor 6th now then, how come he went further in the worlds than Wade?
OOM is rolling 2 years and Taylor was a finalist in 2015. That £120k drops off his ranking. Plus he had a quiet 2016. He won the Champions League but that £100k is unranked. So he is now #6 behind Lewis and Wade plus Chisnall in #7 is only £6k behind him. The player riding for a rankings fall in 2017 is Lewis. He had a rubbish 2016 as only #16 in the 1 year rankings and all his money from 2015 starts to fall off especially at year end where he was a Players and World Championship finalist. |

But I will be watching it on the basis that it's darts I want to see, irrespective of format or tournament. |

The bloke who invaded the stage turns out to be the same guy who invaded the X Factor stage. The "group" he is a member of are claiming he got put in hospital by security staff.
Boo hoo. Shouldn't be invading stages like a nobhead then. |

Boo hoo. Shouldn't be invading stages like a nobhead then. Hooray Henry's trying to be funny and cool. Only people they are entertaining are themselves. I would treat them the same way as football hooligans and ban them for life. |

They already have banned him for life, apparently. Not that it really matters, hes clearly the type who just attends events to disrupt them and isnt actually a fan of any of them, hes done X Factor and the darts so it will be something else soon enough.
