Norris's experience gets him over the line.

It looked as though a combination of the heat and the pressure got to John Michael the longer the match went on.

Good comeback though.

Taylor looking fine, but what a comeback from Chuck.

So what's that big secret thing Taylor's doing differently to make him play better then?

Might just be usual Taylor bluster.

Always glad when Pipe loses his slowplay annoys me
Pipe versus Sulovic would need a tea interval!

Statement of intent there from Corey Cadby.

That was a quite sensational performance by Corey Cadby.

I don't care that it came in a prelim against a guy who didn't average 70; winning all six legs with three ton-plus finishes and an average of 102.48 is a special display at any level of darts.

No idea how Mervs still alive here! Should have been going home 3-0.

I think this one might be going to a tie break.

I think this one might be going to a sudden death leg

But it doesn't because King wins the final set 6-4!

King is in tears, it means that much to him.

Hell of a comeback - but it's hard not to think that West lost it more than King won it.

Could be an interesting one this game, Jackpot has been rank bad for a lot of this year if Caris is in decent nick this might not be a total whitewash.

Edit: If Caris was in any sort of form he'd be right in this but sadly he's playing even worse than Lewis!!

If anything, Corey Cadby is playing better now than he was in his prelim.

Joe Cullen's not playing too badly either

This is extraordinary stuff.

Two sets in and both Cadby and Cullen are averaging 105.

Got to be honest, I didn't think Cullen had this in him and thought he'd just get steamrollered.

Absolute belter, if they keep this standard up there is going to be one very unlucky loser.

What a test of Cadby's limited experience now with Cullen only one leg away from the match.

And Cullen wins one of the best first round matches ever played!

Who on earth thought that Joe Cullen was capable of a performance like that?

Such a shame that incredible match had to have a loser, particularly one as exciting to watch as Corey Cadby.

Remarkable end to a great night of darts.

Hats off to Joe Cullen, thought he was gonna get battered there. Played out of his skin.

If he plays like that against Jackpot next round he'll win......but he won't!

Christ 10 years this year since the classic Taylor V Barney final where's the time gone?!

Still probably the greatest game of all time.

Cullen has stepped up this year. Last few years he's only really popped up on TV to get knocked out of the Worlds in the first round. Looks a different player now.

If Cullen and Lewis play the way they did yesterday evening when they meet in the next round I can't see past a Cullen win - perhaps it was partly the standard of his opposition, but whatever Lewis didn't impress at all.

Just caught up with last nights, what a great final match and I agree with what is said here Cullen will beat Lewis if he plays close to that as Lewis hasn't been the same for a while he needs to sort it out fast I reckon he can fall out of the top 10.
