Winning that first set seems to have woken Michael Smith up a bit.

King's starting to look hot and bothered now.

King's getting back into this match - but he now looks to be in serious discomfort with his back, never mind the heat.

Oh, what a 130 finish from King to stay in the match!

Fantastic darts!

That 130 from King to stay alive was the shot of the championship so far for me.

Now it means even more 3-3

And King forces a decider!

He's found a second wind here and then some

What a brilliant match this has been.

King forces the tiebreak!

Smith has missed a stack of doubles to win this match and there were some more.

Smith has won!

My goodness me, King didn't half make him work for it though.

I don't know if that beats Cullen v Cadby for match of the tournament so far but it ran it very close; it was certainly the best match we've seen for drama so far.

Must be said, though, that Smith will not get much further in this World Championship if he continues to play as casually - particularly on the crucial doubles - as he did in that match.

Is that the break of throw that wins Benito van de Pas the match?

Yes!

Another thriller of a match in an afternoon that didn't look much on paper but has delivered in absolute spades.

I hope that's not the last time we see Terry Jenkins at the Worlds because he can still play.

Damn Whitlock just got destroyed, I fancied Webster but I didn't think it would be a 4-0 whitewash

Webster is a real yokel, isn't he?

Interesting to see how Anderson deals with Gilding's slow, deliberate play next.

Yep he always seems to struggle against slow players.

4-0 Anderson, convincing if not spectacular.

Lots of people commenting on Twitter about the crowd atmosphere, incidentally; half are amazed and the other half think it's the worst thing they've ever seen at a darts match

Now, will the same Joe Cullen who demolished Corey Cadby turn up against Lewis?

Anderson took out 132 with Bull, Bull and Double 16. And not one of the dicks in the crowd noticed as they were in the middle of a bantz off.

Superb 161 from Lewis to go 2-0 up; Cullen isn't even at half the level that he was against Cadby.

Anderson took out 132 with Bull, Bull and Double 16. And not one of the dicks in the crowd noticed as they were in the middle of a bantz off.
Sadly, the PDC sold out to the "drinks, not darts" mob a long time ago in order to get full crowds and massive revenues for big prize money.

Everyone you see singing the "Please Don't Take Me Home" song is a direct factor in the tournament offering £1.65 million and the winner picking up a cheque for £350K.

There's nothing that actual darts fans can do but watch it on TV and grin and bear the crowd to see the darts.

Bludgeoning from Lewis, fine display against a man who went back to being his journeyman self.

That's it until the 27th, so merry Christmas one and all.

Lewis brought it didn't he that was class, I have been ripping him lately but I've always said when Lewis is full flow MvG won't win as much.

Let's see if he is somewhat back as they say.
