Long shot but reyes for prem league?

I can pick 8 players quite easily. Top 4, Lewis, wade, barney and Chisnall
He has got to get further make some finals, but he is one to watch I've always rated him it will come I'm sure.

There are more deserved players.

Don't the top 4 make it automatically anyway? so MvG Anderson Wright and Taylor get in.

Probably a bit soon for him, if he has a good year next year on TV then sure.

Though to be honest take out the 8 mentioned as obvious ones and I'm struggling for the last 2! Suljovic has probably played himself out of it after his performances here (not that Hearn would want him in anyway!).

Will probably come down to if any of the others still in here have a good run Klassen/Smith and Huybrechts etc but they've all been in it before and done nothing.

Klassen apart on his day, I don't think any of players will do too well. Unless someone goes on a run, then maybe just maybe a bdo player might get in. I think to reward loyalty, last few years a decision has been made straight after pdc world's but could be Martin Adams swansong or durrant?

I know and adams has more serious matters on going which will probably mean it's a no go but I do think the last two spots need to be a bit left field.

I'd love to see a 'Young Guns' league run alongside the premier league, for the likes of Dobey, Hopp, Cadby, Dancing Dimitri etc, would be a great spectacle and give them priceless stage experience.

PL prediction from me

Top 4 - MVG, Gando, Wright and Taylor
Next 4 - Wade, Lewis, Barney and Chizzy

Other 2 ? Well i think Klaasen may get one but as for the other ? Suljovic is popular but his defeat has probably put paid to his chance. If Smith goes far he may get the nod

Have Sky ever done a qualifying comp for this

Seems like it would be a crowd puller if they did ?

The problem I suppose is that a young gun may freeze and it destroy their career. Might be good to see play off day for last spot, would be interesting

And what if Justin Pipe won it ?

You're right about some players freezing. There are many players who've played in the PL and not done their career huge favours.

Huybrechts isn't giving Hopp a sniff in these early stages.

He is now but Hopp isn't playing well enough to take advantage of them.

Another straight forward win it looks like. Did think this one would be close.

Huybrechts really didn't have to do a lot to win that match; Hopp was tremendously disappointing.

It's all very well building him up as the new German wunderkid of darts and getting hundreds of German fans over to support him but it's only worthwhile if he has the game to justify it, which he patently does not on that display.

I would put the current ranked top 7 into the Prem league as they stand, it's really tough for the other spots though, if players like Smith and Klassen have a good worlds reaching the final they will get a spot.

If they were thrown into the deep end with MVG, Anderson et al then yes, I would have to agree but if they were playing others of a similar age, experience and abilty then I think it could only be good for all of them, I can't really see a downside to a league for the rising stars, there's certainly no shortage of them.

Steve Beaton must be wondering quite what he's done to be 3-0 down.

He's just had the misfortune to run into a guy averaging 107, that's all.

Beaton's still hanging on in there though... at 3-1!

He deserved that set.

What is it with Sky trying to make out that every single darts player has got some kind of needle with other darts players? They seem like they really want the players to hate each other! They mention about possible needle between Taylor and Huybrechts, then they now mention possible needle between Wade and Michael Smith. Why? Just talk about the game, FFS! Stop trying to disect every interview given as if there is some kind of hatred between players.

Casual viewers are more likely to watch matches if they feel there's a grudge element to them.
