The bit I noticed was this:

“When I sang ‘The Winner Takes It All’ the whole performance was different at the beginning and it had a disco beat and Sharon heard it and said it was too cheesy and we had to make it special.”
So it was going to be up tempo but Sharon changed it - thank goodness she did

According to Friedman, My Heart Will Go On was originally supposed to be a very gimmicky performance until Sharon intervened. If true, it seems Osborune might have been a better mentor that she appeared although I find it hard to imagine Sharon having creative input.

If Sharon changed Winner Takes It All from an uptempo to a ballad song, good for her. It sounds like she was warming to Saara then. All this sabotage by the producers and yet Simon didn't even sign Matt in the end.

Matt was not rejected by Simon Cowell.

Matt has been signed by Sony RCA which is just a different part of the Sony empire from Syco Music, the one that normally signs X Factor winners. Syco Music is a joint venture by Simon Cowell and Sony.

This says http://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/ce...-a3419926.html

“Simon and Sony have had a think and believe that Matt is very much an artist in the mould of Olly Murs,” said an insider.

“And to that end, they both believe he should be a label mate of Olly’s on RCA. Everyone is thrilled with Matt’s victory and how brilliantly the winner’s single is doing.”

Sharon does more than the fans on here seem to think. Sure she might not be there most of the week but she has her input.
