Health wise, no problems at all I think I've had one cold and a few headaches. If I can say that I've gone through a year with zero health problems then its been a good year despite other issues.

Not as bad as 2014.

slightly better than the year before but only because my cat had already died.

i`ve been having a little success in improving my situation the last week or so and i was the recipient of some random acts of kindness from strangers yesterday ♥ which blew me away so maybe it`s a sign.

Started off relatively well, but got progressively worse and worse. I'm lonely and feel different to every other person my age. I struggle to find people who 'get me', if that makes any sense at all.

In August, completely out the blue, I had a panic attack in the children's hospital that I volunteer at and have been suffering with pretty bad health anxiety ever since. I had to leave my college, and I haven't gone back to volunteer since. I've visited the place to see some of my volunteering friends a couple of times, but always felt uncomfortable. However, just a few days ago, my therapist surprised me by saying he thought I could go back to volunteer on that very day, if I really put my mind to it. That gave me a huge confidence boost, so I went in again, but just to visit, and stayed there for almost two hours. I couldn't believe how relaxed I began to feel after the first 10 minutes or so, which was good.

I feel like I'm slowly improving now. Slowly. Hopefully 2017 can bring a full recovery.

It was alright!!!!

Continued to go to trans events in manchester as my one transgender outlet.

Work. Well, its shit.... But i can see it getting better.... Maybe.

Moneys still holding.

My new years resolution, is to stop worrying about what i cant change and start working on what i can....

Pretty much the same as every other year.

If it wasn't for the tooth agony I suffered over the summer I would've said it was the perfect year in every sense of the word.

Well okay, the films were a bit crap this year compared to last, but at least Eddie the Eagle and the Brothers Grimsby were good.

Loved it. A huge step up again for Sacha after The Dictator.

The elephant scene has to be one of the most disgusting yet incredibly funny scenes of all time.

Its classic, Eddie the Eagle was great. Watched it a few times over the summer.

The years been pretty crappy but with some decent bits. Spent 4weeks in hospital over the summer with heart failure so have had to completely change some aspects of my life. On a positive note the medical teams were amazing and I without them I wouldn't be here.

I've had to re evaluate various things due to my condition but it means I've begun putting things into place that will relieve some of the stresses of life and allow me to enjoy myself doing things I want to do.

As long as my health remains OK, 2017 should be a marked improvement on this year.

On a personal level it's been a great year for me and my husband. Most of the year was spent wedding planning and then we got married in a beautiful ceremony in the north of France with all of our favourite people.

Eearlier in the year I lost my job which I hated anyway and was planning on leaving - the redundancy just accelerated my plans. I got a new one within a week and love it, it's been the best thing! I had the opportunity to go part time which helped with the wedding planning and overall stress levels and I've had more of a life again, and I was still taking home very close to what I got from the full time job that I hated. And the hubby has had a year of pretty smooth sailing in his job which is very welcome after a couple of years of some turbulence - it's just been ticking over with no major highs or lows.

Everyone else in the family, both families, has had a shit time though. There's been a rape, a death, a stroke, a tumour, job insecurity, alcoholism...

Not exactly part time, but one of the few positives to occur to me this year - and a big one at that - was the opportunity to assist a project team at work, which means I work from home 2½ days a week Wednesday pm to Friday. Most of this work I can get done before 10am, and the rest of the day is then my own. The downside is that I am on call until midnight those days, to deal with issues. But since 3rd August, when I started, until now, I've had just one SMS at 8:20pm one Friday night, to deal with something which only took me 5 minutes.

So a definite gain, and set to last another 6 months at least

Mind, even then, I got nasty remarks. When I mentioned it on facebook at the start, one colleague said it was because they couldn't stand me and it meant I was out of their sight for half the week. Bastard.

Crap in general.
Started by puncturing a lung which hindered the only pass time time I've been enjoying which is mountain biking. Kept me off the bike for 3 months.
Finally got back on and started to get fit again and had a big off that ruined my confidence.
Have next to no money due to taking on the house from the ex after she buggered off with someone from her work last year.
Discovered my blood pressure is really bloody high and am now on tablets to sort out but also now have random chest pains (cardiac doctor says they're likely not heart related) which is rather concerning and putting me off exercise again.
Then 2 days ago my mum told me my Nan has Vascular Dementia giving her a couple of years but with steep drop offs in mental ability to come. Not telling my Nan until after Christmas so she can enjoy it with the family before she goes down hill.
The year has really really dragged.
Had a couple of nice breaks with the dog & parents & a nice beers & biking weekend in the middle of the year, but that's about it on the positive side.

It was pretty good. I lost over 4 stone in weight which was something I've been trying to do all my adult life but failed miserably at. I only needed to loss 2 stone to take me to a healthly BMI but doubled that and have been maintaining it since June.

Nothing else has really changed in life in 2016.

WOW! Great work, took me about 2 1/2 years to shift about 3 stone but I had help from a nasty relationship breakup!

The best yet

2015 was amazing!!

2016 has been the best so far

And 2017 is looking to top 2016 by a country mile!!

Life is extraordinary right now

Lost 2 family members during that period, brothers going through a tricky unsettling divorce etc

But those are just things that are apart of life, you deal with it, move on and enjoy YOUR life, I've done just that and it truly has been remarkable

Thanks. Wasn't as hard as I though it would be in the end, just a matter of counting calories in and reducing intake.

We were doing so well I was going to say it was an amazing 2016 then couple of weeks ago my grand niece who we foster had a stroke, that's kicked us rather hard. But she's home now and her school is being really positive that we will be able to get her back to school once doctor signs her fit and she has some movement in her fingers so I'm hopeful eventually we will all be ok. One positive came out of it is SS have agreed we should adopt her so she and us are very happy about that.

Sorry to hear that, mate. You take care and I hope any treatment goes well.

Massive sympathies to anybody else who's suffered unpleasant and potentially life changing events this year, as well x

That sounds great! Having more time at home and being more in charge of my own schedule has been an absolute joy.

Shame some people have to rub in their joealousy by trying to bring you down though.

Been absolutely brilliant. It's a massive advantage to have some weekdays free, and to not have to get up at the crack of dawn for the majority of the week

Yes, I think it is jealousy that caused the unpleasant comments. Strangely enough it's been all bonhomie among the 7 of us who were selected for homeworking
