Thanks all - things are on the up, Jr's up and about more and, as ever, inspires me; Christmas is going to be pleasant

The thing I learned long ago - always keep your sense of humour, especially at the worst times. Mum & Dad taught me that and it was the best lesson I learned

Merry Christmas to you all, I love coming onto DS and everybody here makes a little part of my day, so thank you all x

Stay positive, I'm lucky I have both of my parents but let's just say, they are getting on.

I'm tempted to say, "To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness."

Sorry for your loss, muggins, but I'm glad that junior's on the mend. x

I think it was a struggle and not just because of everything that was happening in the outside world. I had illness & stress to battle, and my life has sort of stagnated.

Dad is 97 and I won't be a Carer anymore if I lose Dad, it was bad enough trying to find a job 8 years ago before I became a Carer for Mum, so I don't know what the job situation is like now, as the rent still has to be paid to keep the roof over my head.

We get along fine and are a family, but if I lose Dad I'll be on my own.
