Phelan is quickly becoming an all time great, IMO. He is so convincing as the villain, its actually chilling at times how he can just turn to being evil so easily. Hopefully they find a way to keep him in the show for years to come. Long live King Phelan!!!

Sorry to rain in your parade but I cant stand him. I was hoping he was going to die and that would be the end of him.

Phelan cant be killed, he's immune to death, plus hell isn't ready for him yet.

I haven't posted on here for a long time but tonight I was so wound up I have to let off steam.

I love Corrie but I can't bear how it and other soaps so often have nothing short of "miracle recoveries".

It was bad enough Ken up and about 5 minutes after his stroke, but tonight really took the biscuit. One minute we're being told Phelan had had a bleed on his brain, next minute he's talking away with Eileen without even a hint of impaired speech!

I'm sorry but having had a personal experience of these kind of injuries I know this just wouldn't happen so it makes my blood boil how flippant scriptwriters are when it comes to head and brain injuries (or any kind of serious injury tbh) in that they can have it in the script as almost a throwaway line or for quick dramatic effect to enhance a storyline.

Big fail for Corrie in this one I'm afraid!

From what I saw the brick came off worse. Anyways I'd like to think that our King found a way to heal so quickly.

Hail to the King!

Well I guess Corrie see Phelan as EE see Phil Mitchell. "no matter how many severe blows to the head (or liver) this character suffers, he will always come back even stronger than before! And the viewers? Well they will just have to buy it im afraid!!"

Phelan has a long, long way to go until he is in Phil Mitchell's league when it comes to defying death, Phil Mitchell is like Zsa Zsa Gabor Unkillable.

Eileen said tonight that she was going to treat him like a King from now on. About time he started to get some respect from the peasants on that street.

Watching his scenes with Andy was like watching a cat toy with a mouse.

You're forgetting the most brutal beating that was ever seen on t.v. by that fishwife Anna with a plumbers lead pipe. The memory of the beating and the screams of pain from Phelan still haunts me.

The character works so well because the actor is so flipping good! If it comes around TV again on any channel - try and catch 'Drop Dead Gorgeous'.

Andy raised his hand to the King. Treason is treason. Hang him.

When I heard that I wondered was that a subtle nod to the Digital Spy posters!

The actor, character and boring overdone story line about Phelan always looking for his next victim is become so boring. I can't even watch his ugly face.

Along with David, Phelan is my favourite character, he's probably the only reason I still watch it.

I'm actually starting to like Robert actually! Not sure if its not because I fancy him though!

Not as much as I fancy Phelan of course!
