Has anyone played the new Super Mario Run app? I only had a quick go so should maybe try it again later to test it fully but I was really not impressed and found it quite boring. What do others think?

It's a good game that copies too many annoying elements from the console version.

Why do I have to select a name? Why do I have to select my country? Why do I have to watch so many videos, such as the clip of the princess being taken? I just want to play the game.

I like the fact there's no advertisements, however, I'm wearing about paying £7.99 when a lot of apps start showing ads later whether you've paid or not.

I've found it quite fun to be honest and have paid for the full game, haven't progressed very far mind you as have been spending most of my free time today competing against friends in world 1-1 of World Tour.

Only played the demo, but: A little too much of the freemium bullshit for my liking, particularly considering it's a paid game.

Spoiler

Still a lot more interesting than the usual infinite runner, mind. Think I'd still rather have another 'proper' Mario on handheld/console, though.

They should have charged £7.99 without offering the free levels.

They could have made a fortune from the hype.

They already made $4m in the first day. I think they're doing alright.
