With many people not really exited about this years whats the worst episodes EE have done at Christmas.

the one back in the 80's when they had a treasure hunt

the Branning Christmas when Derek died

that cheesy one when Kat and Alfie got married

Last years

Problem with last years was it didn't feel Christmassy....Partly due to the dialog and partly due to the sets the Mitchell's house wasn't very festive and they were centre stage also the woods were still green it was like summer.

2011 was pretty dull, however boxing days ep redeemed it with the Bnb Fire

2011. Nothing happened and all the big stuff was saved for Boxing day.

2013 was the same and kinda dragged.

1997 - too much focus on the dull Kathy/Alex plot

2006 - Pauline's exit yet most of the episode was about Stacey and Max

2014 - well acted but overhyped and other than Mick and Linda most characters only briefly appeared

However the worst of all was 2015. Ludicrous "plot", no festive feel and pretty much everyone behaving completely out of character.

1986.

Den giving Angie the divorce papers on Christmas Day - IIRC it had the worst viewing figures for any soap that year as well.

Two minor dull characters doing very mundane things to each other.

Where was all the drama and action?

No car crashes.

No explosions.

Nothing at all.

The last few years have all been shit, the last decent one was probably 2010 when Stacey left imo.

Whitney should recreate that moment with Lee. It would demolish the 1986 viewing figures and put people infront of their TV.

It would if she was naked when doing it - I would be watching that is for certain.
