He'll basically die in jail if it's 5 years for each count.

We all die somewhere. It's far too late and the scum obviously doesn't care.
He should have been in prison years ago instead of enjoying a damn sight more freedom than justice would have allowed him when he did care.

It probably wont be all consecutive. Im guessing he'll get 10 or 12 years. Still enough that he'll die in prison though.

Probably because he knows that he's had his life and is not bothered about spending the last years of it in prison. His attitude might, might change once he has to start looking over his shoulder every day.

He'll be in a specialist unit, not general population.

He might be alive by the end of it if he's lucky.

Ah yeah, I know that. The fear of a prisoner from the general population attacking him whenever they get the chance might still start to play on his mind though. A prisoner or prisoners.

May be luckier for him if he's not, given he'll have to return to community disopprobrium.

At 101 he won't give a chuff, he's on severely borrowed time.

No, he'll be safe. Even the general prisoners might baulk at beating up a 101 year old man, even if he was a nonce. As it is he'll be in a wing along with other elderly prisoners.

....and let's be honest. He's had his life. Far more than most people get, and he's still relatively healthy....

I think the point of this case is more about the message it sends to others, rather than exactly what happens to him. If you're a victim, it's never "too late" to tell; if you're a perpetrator, you're never going to be safe.

Oldest man ever in the UK lived to 113, so I suppose its possible. Not all that likely though I dont think.

Just heard on BBC news that he got 13 years, at Birmingham Crown Court.

The chances of him coming out alive are negligible.

I think he is the only winner in this case.

He has lived 101 years and now gets 24 hours care for the remainder of his life.

The obligation for the prison to deal with his care needs is greater than Social Services obligations if was living on his own.

Karma. Not that it will happen.
The ******** will be better cared for and free of charge, than a hell of a lot of older people in this country.
BREAKING: Britain's 'oldest paedo' JAILED at 101-years-old for child abuse
A MAN, thought to be Britain's oldest convicted paedophile at 101-years-old, has been jailed for 13 years for historic sex crimes against three children.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/late...y-court-jailed

Quote:
“Mr Bond told the OAP his abuse of "powerless" youngesters, one as young a four, had been "repeated and sustained" over many years.

The former RAF serviceman was warned to expect a significant custodial sentence for 17 offences of indecent assault, 11 of indecency with a child and two attempted serious sexual assaults.

Mr Bond told him: "One of your victims remembers you as a nasty man, free with your fists, and he would get belted by you."

Clarke would also try to "bribe" his victims after abusing them, with "10p or 20p" coins for sweetie money.”

Just like a lot of people having a thing for children, there are many who have a thing about old people.

To the person saying about "why didn't they come forwards years ago" they probably did, like many of us and were not believed. I have no idea why this simple fact has to be explained over and over every time a historic case comes up. In those days many children were not believed and even though some were they were told to stop making a fuss.

Seems you are wrong. They only made reports to Police in August last year when photos of him celebrating his 100th birthday were posted on Facebook.
