It did seem to go on and on. At one point I even looked at the Sky listings to check if it was an hour-long episode.

It's been dragging for weeks. I totally agree with a period of downtime following two years of near non-stop sensationalism, but the problem is that everything is currently so repetitive and the episodes are all blending into one.

They gave far too much screentime to the silly nativity It's boring enough attending one in real life, never mind having to sit through one in our soaps too

Its getting absolutely ridiculous now. If they carry on like this come springtime they will record the lowest figures ever.

One thing that did stand out as contrived and daft was the scene at the rehearsals with Jay and Louise being told to be more intimate and kiss only for Jay to refuse and Shakil to be offered the part instead, well we all know how that's going to end with Bex walking in just a the moment that Shakil and Louise kiss for the scene.

Didn't think it was that long or that bad, a few weeks back it was pretty tedious.

It was certainly tedious at the beginning of the year with one day lasting for nearly 2 weeks of episodes, I do hope they never do that again.

Me too, the stories are never ending. When is "Linda" going to go on maternity leave, this is the longest real life pregnancy in history!

No way - I was so engrossed in it that I couldn't believe half an hour had gone when it ended - this week has been one of SOC's best and I am so pumped now for Xmas - which is going to be back to the heydays of the 1980's EE

Not for me it didn't - really enjoyed the whole episode For me it's not 'boring' it's just easy viewing. 8.5/10 for last night's ep from me

Yes indeed. Also wondering with the so-called "realism of SOC" how anyone can find time to sit through that daytime working hours, especially after Grandma Stacey shouting the odds over ian claiming Martin to work longer

I did the exact same. I was like this has gone on more than 30 mins - more like 40 - and had to check. It'd only been on for 20...

It really isn't . EastEnders was not this twee, stagnant show that we are currently getting... it's poorly written rubbish right now

It's just dead. Lifeless, soulless, directionless. It really is time it was ended.

I'm too young to know what this show was like in the 80s, but have seen clips and details about the 80s and EastEnders is the same. But that is not good...
