Alana or Courtney to win?
It's Alana the Six Cakes Lady, Sugar's only follow, vs the F*ck Off Doormat Giin Man, Courtney.
Who's your winner? |

Based on their business plans, Courtney. His is close to how Amstrad used to work, though at a far smaller scale -- design a product and outsource manufacture, then sell it to retailers.
Alana's will burn through Sugar's quarter of a million in development costs to get her cakes ready for manufacture and then distribution all over the country. That said, if Alana modifies her plan to aim for local, organic growth, then it is game on. |

Alana, no question about it. Courtney is only in the final so that Alana can win.

I wanted to add a poll but it doesn't seem to be an option at the moment...something to do with the dreaded migration?

Although Courntney is small scale he has obviously shown an ability to get his designs translated into products, deal with suppliers, manufactured and sold.

There was a (completely independent) article in the Daily Mail yesterday about a woman who had created a million pound business by selling home-made chocolate cakes. There's a good profit margin in this business.
Unfortunately there are quite low barriers to entry, so just about anyone can do it. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/fo...t-kitchen.html |

According to the Companies House register her full name is Ms Alana Rudi Nadia Isis Spencer!

I do prefer Alana and I hope she wins, though her "all I've ever wanted is money and power" comment at the start of The Process is a bit off-putting.
I know they're encouraged to come out with nonsense, and I'm sure she's a lovely girl really, but that frankly makes her sound like a psychopath. |

I have never heard "Alana" pronounced like that, with the second syllable so heavily stressed.

Based on liking them more and wanting them to do well - Alana.
She was so funny bringing the interviewers little tasters with such a sincere, well-meaning look on her face. Only for Claude to bark back at her to put it to one side and sit back in her chair. You really feel for her. lol But I do find myself more excited in Courtney's business. Never really been interested in food to be honest. Once it's eaten it's gone. |

Did Alana save those cakes for weeks in case she got to the final or did she bring her own ingredients to the house and make them I wonder?

I don't think mouldy cakes would have impressed the interviewers much! |

From what little I know of some TV (I work in a building where a few shows are filmed) they have on-site caterers, usually in a bus or portacabin, but presumably, they have some supplies in the house for breakfast / supper when not on set or on tasks. |

Courtney is a nice guy but Alana has a bit more to her a bit more pizazz .so based on that I would plump for Alana.

I prefer Alana, but I doubt she'll win. Couteney has an easier business plan - products with a long shelf life and more ideas to come.
