What an amazing final!! Such a feel good show!! Ore so deserved it! Loved how Danny was the first to run over and hug Ore and the Kevin/Joanne interaction was so lovely and sweet as well. I really felt the family feeling of all the celebs and pros this year!

Totally agree. All three put in at least one stunning routine.

James Jordan will have a heart attack over this.

Aargh I'm cross with myself - I could have got 10-1 on Ore earlier today but I thought he had no chance

Admit I voted for Danny four times and for Ore twice

I think us Danny and Oti fans knew the writing on the wall when they fell into the Dance Off last week. For Doti not to win I mean!

They did very well tonight - congratulations!

A good series this year and in truth, Ore is a worthy winner. Some of his grovelling has grated..... he could have won without abasing himself...... but it was a good cast, some excellent dancing, some genuinely wonderful highlights and an excellent final.

I genuinely congratulate Ore because he danced very well, and commiserate with Danny who must be wondering how he didn't win, but I hope will be gracious about it.

I just so hope we don't get any more of this faux emotion and gut-wrenching sycophancy. Take the prize, enjoy the victory and accept everybody's thanks for some wonderful entertainment.

Roll on next September.

It's hard to believe that it's all over for another year already!

As always thanks to everyone for the intense debate and good natured banter. Our paths will cross in others threads but until next year thank you and goodnight!

Well that's another big BBC box ticked.

Agreed. Louise just didn't have enough spark, Danny was brilliant but too much the ringer. Ore had the journey and was good enough.

Lovely to watch tonight, and an enjoyable year overall. Thanks, folks -- and good night!

Sad that the wrong Clifton won. Glad that the Danny who was pushed by the judges from week one didn't.

I know that! 'The bookies got it wrong' is just a figure of speech that everyone uses..I can amend it to the public got it wrong, if you'd rather..

Did they say who was 2nd and 3rd or did I miss it

Voted for Danny, and if it wasn't to be him, wanted it to be Louise.

A bit disappointed with the result.

Wanted Danny & Oti but very pleased that the most deserving couple won on the night.

I also predicted that we could have out first black Strictly winner this year as soon as Ore was announced. and, as a fellow Nigerian, I'm so happy he did it.

Didn't previously like Jo but she and Oti have been standout choreographers this year so very well done to her...especially as she was so gracious in sitting out last year. Proof that all good things come to those who wait!

Was pleased Ore and Joanne won - if Danny and Oti couldn't so glad it was them
I think Danny messing up the quickstep ruined for them tonight and Ore stepped up his game and deserved to win

Absolutely right! Louise was very gracious! Ore peaked at just the right time.
I'm pleased for Jo Clifton, she's a great choreographer and dancer and seems very sweet.

Perhaps the comments will go away for a while, but what happened with Big Brother after a black man won was the focus shifted to black women. (There was also a tendency to argue that, for various reasons, Brian's win shouldn't really count.)
