It was a case of too little too late; especially after the mucked up Quickstep. Ore and Joanne had nailed three routines by that point.
![]() You never know we might support the same couple next year! Though in all seriousness I really need to not give a damn for a change to recharge. ![]() |

It must have been quite close though with all four of them, because Ore would probably have got less public votes than the other three as recent as two weeks ago.
Len did talk him up a great deal and then gave him (and him alone) a standing ovation. We were been groomed to vote Ore Len LOVED it. And he expressed that. |

Len did talk him up a great deal and then gave him (and him alone) a standing ovation. We were been groomed to vote Ore It's funny because I was reading an article earlier about how the public tend (though admittedly not always) to follow Len's lead. I thought Danny and Oti were finished as potential winners last week but the moment Len said Ore was his favourite this week I knew he and Joanne would win it. The link, for anyone interested (though they got the winner wrong!). http://www.entertainmentodds.com/str...g/lous-to-win/ Quote:
Len standing to applaud Ore after his first dance, the quickstep, was the first sign it was ‘mission get Ore to the final’ night. Just to hasten to add - this isn't sour grapes; just the above post reminded me of this. It also sent a shudder down the spine recalling Len doing the exact same thing to help push Matt Di Angelo into the final in 2007, which was done to cleverly conspire Gethin Jones’ elimination, gifting Alesha Dixon the series win. On that occasion, the show’s dark arts were a painful and costly lesson.

Dancing more 'traditional' dances may have helped as well as opposed to. perhaps, overly interpretive dances.
It's STILL Strictly, not 'dance and faff like how you want'. |

Oh for God's sake. He won because he was the best on the night. Loads voted for him, myself included because he was great
Can't yous just be happy for someone achieving something? It's a dance show. And it's Christmas! the Ore bashing was part of the reason I am more chuffed about his victory. I said tonight I would vote for the best on show and Ore did that. I just was baffled at the attacks he kept getting when clearly Danny made a huge mistake during his first dance and Louise had a latin dance. We then got the "Seems we know who the judges want to win!!! " Fix screamsI don't get it. I was bitter when Louis Smith won but he was a great dancer. So I have been there. |

I always vote on performance for the finale night.
Ore earned my votes. Danny disappointed during the first half. Like Natalie Gumede against Abbey. |

For those mentioning Alesha and Louis - they are both mixed race, not black. One white parent and one black parent does not equal black. Ramps was also mixed race (one white parent, one Indian parent).

I hope this result shuts up the people who always find a 'race' issue with SCD. I am really glad the Great British Public do not.
Fancy that, the best dancer won!!!! |

Has there been any other celebrity apart from Danny Mac that was favourite from the start. But lost in the final

Having two Ballroom routines to Danny's one (which he mucked up) and Louise's none would have done Ore the world of good. |

Ore may have won officially but Danny and Oti are my winners. They are the only couple that I have loved all of their dances.
Next year, I refuse to have a favourite. |

I too was wondering why no red button I'm sure there's lots to discuss with the cast & pros! Anything's better than Michael Mcentired show!!
Though I think they should do a Monday It Takes Two after the final. |

Danny ballsed up the QS, so not sure what the point about semi-final dances is.
Agreed on Claudia though - no doubt should have had Louise's space

in part its the pro versus the amateur again - as with Denise and Kellie too. Though I think Abbey had a natural dancer, and actor, lurking within her - which developed over time. . Ore developed much less and didn't arrive anywhere for me. .His journey was odd too - he started suitably low, leapt to a high standard with no explanation a few weeks later, regressed, and then started being credited for being better than he was.
I think they wanted an Ore win...it was pretty clear last week and then this week when they chose Singin' in the Rain and had invited Gene Kelly's widow to be in the audience and she got that lovely round of applause... I saw where the trophy was going then. But Ore was good...never exciting which Danny and Oti always were for me but it's horses for courses after all and he did well tonight. Also the Len tribute made me well up a bit. |

I said that after last year. It worked out so very well.
![]() I will just avoid watching ITT. I fall in love with couples when I see them during interviews. I didn't have a favourite last year. |

I thought his messing up might garner him more votes, very surprised he didn't win and as for Louise, she danced beautifully throughout and I didn't want a gym display tbh so respectfully I disagree re Claudia
![]() ![]() Would liked to have seen her samba done to its full potential though |

Next year, I refuse to have a favourite. I didn't want a favourite either this year...never heard of Danny Mac! And after supporting Pixie then Helen I was pleased not to have one. Until I saw their cha cha cha, so much fun energy and excitement. Good luck with your efforts next year though!

Was pleased Ore and Joanne won - if Danny and Oti couldn't so glad it was them
![]() I think Danny messing up the quickstep ruined for them tonight and Ore stepped up his game and deserved to win |

I honestly think now that the beginning dances matter the most in terms of the votes.
I power voted for Ore in the first two rounds as he easily beat Louise / Danny. Danny's showdance was ruined by the mirror choreography which I did not get. He did not need that. When Danny wowed me with the Samba I think it was too late in terms of reaching him in the vote. |
