YEP.
It's STILL Strictly, not 'dance and faff like how you want'. |

Has there been any other celebrity apart from Danny Mac that was favourite from the start. But lost in the final

Ore may have won officially but Danny and Oti are my winners. They are the only couple that I have loved all of their dances.
Next year, I refuse to have a favourite. |

Ricky Whittle was in a similar position. Carly Stenson must be fed up with Strictly finals
She is not a good omen is she

I didn't want a favourite either this year...never heard of Danny Mac! And after supporting Pixie then Helen I was pleased not to have one. Until I saw their cha cha cha, so much fun energy and excitement. Good luck with your efforts next year though!![]() |

I haven't read all 80 odd pages of this thread, but has anyone mentioned how much of a tearfest tonight was? I was almost in tears myself..

Isn't that sort of lovely
They're mixed race so 'don't count'. rolleyestoheaven.I expect they'll say that Ore isn't really black because he's had some sort of white life or something. I CBA with all the stupidity. Ignorance in all it's glory. 2016 in a nutshell. |

Well we all know that he is not a fan of dancing. But good on him being there to support his Daughter in law

What a fabulous final, I think that may well have been the best Strictly final there's ever been. All three are great dancers and deserved to be there, and it was too close to call for me between Ore and Danny.
Danny has been brilliant all series - I was so disappointed when he messed up the Quickstep as the parts he got right were so good, but then his showdance was just phenomenal, my favourite ever on Strictly, I got goosebumps and was screaming at the TV! And his Samba was wonderful again. He and Oti are such a brilliant partnership and though I'm disappointed they didn't win, they will always be winners in my eyes, and hopefully they'll pick up a few glitterballs on tour! I can happily acknowledge that Ore & Joanne outdanced the other two couples tonight, they were astonishing, by far at their best when it really mattered across all three dances. I loved Jo's showdance choreography, it was just perfection, and their fantastic Jive was a great way to end. Hugely deserving winners and I'm so pleased for them ![]() I don't think Louise & Kevin were really in the contest tonight, I thought she was very nervous and a bit lacklustre throughout, and I really disliked their showdance - it looked to me as if they went wrong in that horrible lift in the middle and then had to make the rest of it up - it seemed off-time and disjointed after that. I thought she was hesitant in their Cha Cha as well, but their AT was good. I'm so glad the judges picked good routines for the couples to re-do rather than their worst, and I loved the pro numbers, especially the ballroom tribute to Len - lovely to see basic Waltz figures danced so beautifully by Anton & Natalie at the start of that dance. Overall a fabulous, feel-good final, and one that will live long in the Strictly memory

Your man won Rhumba and I guess you are thrilled . I must say I am happy for Joanne and she looked stunned . Thought it was a great evening and Ore stepped up .For some reason Danny looked very subdued and not himself . But Ore won fair and square tonight .
It's cheered me on the board that you and others can see Ore's quality. It was a fantastic FANTASTIC night of dancing and Danny's Samba was MAGNIFICENT. |

Win win for me this evening. Glad Ore won and very glad I have Danny's samba recorded. It will warm me through some cold winter evenings.

And a rotten and stupid theory at that.
I can't believe how bitter some get when a TV programme doesn't give them the result they want. Makes me wonder how they cope with something important. |

First year I've ever cried. Thrilled Ore won and that there seem to be more yaays than naaays!

Whilst I hope I haven't gone over the top on the thread this is actually how I cope with something important - by channeling my emotion and energy into something which, in the great scheme of things, doesn't matter. It's like a safety valve. I'm not so unhealthy to do it all the time every time instead of confronting things head on but it does help to an extent.
![]() ![]() My life is not easy, and I have to control myself a lot of the time. The board and sometimes ridiculous fan stuff, is a bit of a release.
