Louise's Argentine tango was over marked. She checked her feet a couple of times. Once or twice she looked unsteady on her legs and the hand at the end was atrocious. Did not deserve a 10.

Why are people shouting fix? Surely the one with the most votes won. Simple as.

I was pleased with the result, I thought Ore danced well on the night and the judges had pushed Danny from week 1 so it seemed likely that this would have a negative effect on his chances. If Ore was the only person with no previous dance experience in the final, he deserved it more, IMO.

The show dances were all great. I prefer to see a show dance that is unlike anything else, so Ore's was less good from that point of view. On the other hand, I love Fred and Ginger and this was pure glamour.

On the whole, great final.

I'll admit I'm not a fan of Ore but he danced brilliantly tonight and he deserved to win.

Ore absolutely deserved to win an I am thrilled smug Kevin and Louise didn't .

Thank you all for your company, spoilers and let's look forward to 2017

Merry Christmas and. happy and Safe new year to all

This year has been exactly the same as previous years.

The celebs:

ringahs, hopeless comedic, young and athletic, older and not so supple.

The professionals:
great foreign dancers and Anton.

Some of the complaints:

Time for Tess and Claudia to be replaced
(insert name) has previous dance experience
Why is (insert comedic name) still in the competition?
If (insert comedic name) is still in next week, I'll stop watching!
The judges have their favourites.
(Insert name) shouldn't have been in the dance off.
The judges are pushing (insert name) to win.
The BBC manipulated the vote each week.
(Insert name) didn't deserve to win.
It's a fix!

But those who aren't so good go out in he first few weeks;
the mediocre go out in the next few weeks;
the comedic celeb stays almost to the final;
the three or four with the highest standard and popular with the public are in the final;
the media and social media try to influence the result;
the public vote decides the winner.

And lastly a cry of "FIX!!!!" from some when their favourite doesn't win.

It will be the same next year, the year after and the year after that.

Yes, but if Alesha or Louis had lost, that would still have been counted as evidence of prejudice.
Yes, as being mixed race doesn't mean they are no longer ethnic minorities.

I loved the final - the best one ever, I think. The evening flowed very quickly, and it never felt like there was desperate padding (looking at you XF!!). Apart from the first set of dances, which I think only Ore delivered particularly well (Danny's numerous mistakes, and Louise's very nervy, self-conscious CCC), the show dances and favourite dances were executed brilliantly. For me, the best dancer on the night won - I'd voted for Ore every week, and was thrilled for his win - but I don't think it diminishes what great dancers Danny and Louise were - and all of their last dances were deserved highlights of the series.

Can I just say I cried (quite a lot) at the Len tribute and dance! The waltz performed was so bloody beautiful, and it felt like a full circle moment from the first Come Dancing programme (especially with those dresses and the nod to a synchronised formation dance) to Len's departure, marking the last of the great British ballroom experts on the show. No matter who they recruit as a replacement, I seriously doubt they will inhabit the place Len holds in the affection of the viewers. I'll miss him a lot, I think.

I have to say, the result brought into sharp focus the statistics stuff that Jeremy Vine did on ITT earlier this week - it's now patently clear that ballroom trumps latin, in a very big way, when it comes to voters for the final. And traditional, classic Hollywood-inspired routines are a surefire winner in almost every instance! Lessons to learn for the pros for next year, Kevin would do well to pay attention! Mind you, if he gets another contender, I'm pretty sure we won't be able to move on this board for all the Fix threads!!! All over for another year (apart from the Xmas show) - see you in 2017!

It's a pity that SCD seems to have a strict age limit on the audience so children of the contestants usually can't be there. I noticed on one of the foreign shows on ITT there were quite a few children running around at the end of the final, looked as if they were children of contestants.
I can remember Darren Gough's two boys being in the audience one week.

I remember because they constantly glared at Lillia, as they obviously didn't like the idea of their dad being in the arms of anyone other than their mother. I think they were probably aged about 8 and 10 at the time.

My thoughts after sleeping on my disappointment ! I was a Danny fan and voted for him and rooted for him . I am not a dancer , know very little about dancing but watch Strictly religiously every year and just beginning to know my Latin from my Ballroom and a Cha Cha cha from a Samba
Most viewers are like me , I am guessing many dont get as involved and barely know the names of the pros . Many tune in for the last few weeks and simply see the dancing and the colour and the spectacle
I think Oti maybe read it wrong and the dances were superb and stunning but not maybe for the casual viewer . Joanne on the other hand read it just right .A Singing in the Rain eye catching number , a show dance bopping about on large drums both caught the eye of the casual drop in voter and the voters who are simply watching SCD for the show and the spectacle . Joanne drew in that large vote .
Otis choreography was fabulous but the casual viewers and many die hards too would not be immediately drawn to the style .Danny was under pressure from the beginning , he looked very nervous and tense and his body was tense .Mistakes happened and from then on he was tense and nervous . It showed and my heart sank .
Personally I think it was down to the upbeat , feel good nature of Ore's dances and I must admit , not being a fan , that he danced them brilliantly and it swayed the vote his way
Yes I am disappointed for Danny but i think his career will greatly benefit from his Strictly role and he will go a long way in Musical theater .

Well after sleeping on it I'm still not too happy with the result, fix claims are everywhere however...since Ore is a BBC sports presenter the likelihood of him suddenly chasing a new career & taking to the West End stage is never gonna happen. I look forward to him and Jo appearing next year, in a similar fashion to Jay - all fat and out of shape... trying to do those kicks n flicks in that Jive... people saying "And he won? NO WAY!"

I also cannot believe he's 30... had a hard life?

Louise really was dealt a rough hand in the first round of dances. The Cha Cha was never gonna set the world alight, might have worked had they re-jigged the costumes and abandoned the theme for a classic CCC routine... to actually show off her hip action!
She was beaming and I disagree with comments on here that she was uncomfortable, the technique was better and still well placed... just a shame the hips weren't there! I knew the Judges Choice was CCC before it was even announced. They needed to see her improved technique and hips - especially after winning that Ch Cha-athon.

Her show dance was still beautiful, lyrical and mesmerising... not Caroline Flack levels... but very beautiful none the less. AT was unsteady in a few places, but had more oomph and power! Her weight-loss was very evident in that gorgeous dress!

I'm so glad I championed her and Kevin, naysayers be damned!

Danny was bit rubbish really, too much pressure and made a lot of mistakes... seems like there was one in the show dance as well as the Quickstep. Music for the SD was horrible, please NEVER let a male sing an Adele song ever again!

Samba saved it but too late in the night by that point to start racking up votes

Was a fun and entertaining watch, will defiantly be back next year as I love all things Strictly - should be an interesting one next year, with Len departing and possibly a new presenter!

Please add in contemporary dance style next year! It's getting alittle boring with just Ballroom and Latin - seeing the SD by Louise and Kevin has me really believing they could make a move towards this... It'll be more DWTS like but who cares, we're prop central now

Kevin did a similar style ballroom showdance number with Frankie Bridge, with tables rather than drums, but it just wasn't executed as well as Ore's and Joanne's, it lacked the style, finesse, panache etc Also, that year it was up against Caroline's contemporary showdance which was more captivating and better executed than Louise's this year. I really didn't like Danny's and Oti's - someone on another thread called it all angsty and teenage dramatic which isn't what we like watching for a final show dance (in my opinion)

Yep, BBC box ticked - simple.
Which box would that be? It's such a tiresome weaselly phrase- just come out and say it.

Danny has already been cast in a new Sleepless in Seattle musical with his fiancée so he hasn't done too badly out of it.

Doesn't surprise me he has a show lined up / handed to him.

This show doesn't appeal to me though and The fact that his girlfriend is in it with him, put me off even more

I do hope you're not expecting too much from Father Christmas this year after that mean-spirited post

Just because the person who won wasn't the person you wanted doesn't make it a fix.

Because I didn't enjoy the film and if they are both playing the leads, knowing that in real life they are in a relationship detracts from the story for me anyway.

Just because something is a premier and not been seen in the U.K. before doesn't mean to say I can't know if it will appeal to me or not.
I know what I like and what I don't and I know what I am willing to pay to ' give something a chance" and it isn't WE prices

Of course, I may have seen it in USA...

if recent few years are anything to go by, new musicals haven't been doing so well.
The ones that have transferred to WE from BW have done / are going well, think Aladdin, Dream girls and Kinky.

ive heard that next year some of the 'oldies ' are being revived, if this is true I guess this is because demand is there so SIS will have to find it's way.

The USA reviews aren't that great so if I am going to be paying £60+ a ticket, I want to be spending it on something I want to see / something with great reviews.

Totally uncalled for. Ageist and sexist -- disgusting!
Agreed - tell him he can come back when he can Charleston like she did.

I just got a glimpse of his hairy, ginger chest and I come over all unnecessary.
With that and Danny's open shirt we got spoiled tonight

Almost everyone any good must have been working - and I imagine they pay a lot less than panto.
That's a bit harsh and very unfair on Gethin and Denise to name but two.

Thank you Mutinta.

I don't think a SINGLE Ore fan expected it.

But I, for one am bloody THRILLED, his dancing was WONDERFUL tonight.
By his reaction he didn't either or Joanne
