By his reaction he didn't either or Joanne
I think everyone expected Danny and Oti to win, in spite of the final.

Well until the first three black celebrities get voted off again. Then they will say the same thing like they did this year

Oh and well done on reaching your milestone
Funny that but at least we can add exhibit of guy of colour with Nigerian parents wins to SCD to all of the three previous winners of mixed race to say nope it isn't and nor is it's audience.

Kevin certainly did - he didn't look happily after round three.

This year has been exactly the same as previous years.

The celebs:

ringahs, hopeless comedic, young and athletic, older and not so supple.

The professionals:
great foreign dancers and Anton.

Some of the complaints:

Time for Tess and Claudia to be replaced
(insert name) has previous dance experience
Why is (insert comedic name) still in the competition?
If (insert comedic name) is still in next week, I'll stop watching!
The judges have their favourites.
(Insert name) shouldn't have been in the dance off.
The judges are pushing (insert name) to win.
The BBC manipulated the vote each week.
(Insert name) didn't deserve to win.
It's a fix!

But those who aren't so good go out in he first few weeks;
the mediocre go out in the next few weeks;
the comedic celeb stays almost to the final;
the three or four with the highest standard and popular with the public are in the final;
the media and social media try to influence the result;
the public vote decides the winner.

And lastly a cry of "FIX!!!!" from some when their favourite doesn't win.

It will be the same next year, the year after and the year after that.
The comic contender usually goes round Blackpool time - or at least the main one sometimes like with Jezza last year it's the week before and sometimes like with Ed it's the week after - the most extreme was Widdy who almost made to the quarter-final and musicals week and the Sarge whose popularity was never truly tested. I still maintain that he would have gone at the quarter-final stage when Eriaustin and Tomilla's fan bases saw him off and Austinwozrobbed would have happened a week later or may just maybe the DO contraversy would have saved both them and we'd have had a four person final. I can dream

Apart from that I agree with you although this year we got the spectacle of final performance deciding the winner and DO result that wasn't a forgone conclusion the second we knew who was in it - both of those were unusual

This level of padding is making even X Factor look slimmer.
X Factor final took 4 hours and 2 days now thats padding.

I beg to differ...

IMO the most extreme "comic contender" was Christopher Parker in series 1. He actually reached the final and came 2nd

I would add Colin Jackson to that..
Yes so would I, and considering he was an athlete so presumably never danced before.

There were only 7 weeks in that series and profits from the voting went to Children in Need, so it did throw up an odd result. The second series had Julian Clary in third place. Only got an "entertainer" staying longer than expected again in series 6.

I LOVED him, and so wanted him to win
