I've still not forgiven them for killing Lexa, and if we end up with Clark and flipping Bellamy I'll be even more annoyed, but I'll be watching.

Seems to be more of the same really - "it's for my people!!" .. "i'll fix it!"
Decided to drop this at the end of season 3 and that trailer makes me quite content with that decision. |

Must admit that I thought the end of series 3 wasn't that great with all that virtual reality type mumbo jumbo so I'll be happy if they drop all that
But I'll definitely be watching I thought series 2 of this was the best telly for ages.............. |

Hmm... at first I thought the scenes of everything blowing up and people melting was the preview, then it showed the 'turn me off and everyone dies' scene with the turning-off so I thought it was the second-apocalypse prediction, then I thought it was just a flashback because we saw people fleeing for a safe non-falloutey part of the world, then there was a load of people underground with no water, and now I'm not sure what was the threatening scary prediction, what's a flashback and what's an actual preview. And then obviously the stack of flashing scenes they always put at the end of these which always confuse me, sometimes retrospectively, possibly including my 'summary'.
They really ought to have just done a trailer for the first episode, or I should have avoided this in favour of that... On the plus side, Octavia looks like she's going to be Even Badder and there's a strong chance that Murphy is mostly the same. And swordfights and snogging and explosions and even the odd leadership crisis, surely this is all that's needed? |

For me though, it just went off the boil and I got increasingly annoyed with Clarke and the whole angle of her constantly "fixing" everything for "her people" and talking and talking and talking until you got bored senseless. There are two aspects of Season 4 that do intruige me though, to be fair. The progression of Octavia, as you've pointed out, and also the idea that they may well be going full circle with the nuclear plant meltdown and the idea that the planet will become uninhabitable for real this time, which is where we started the whole series. |

[quote=JasonWatkins;84899942]The first series had some absolutely standout episodes - one of the earlier ones where they wanted to execute the young girl was one of the darkest things i've seen on TV in years, and the other one where they had to have a mass cull of the adults to save oxygen and actually followed through with it without them being saved at the last second by the heroes.

I was amazed at Ricky Whittle's interview and how he said the producer had undermined his career. He also thanked the CW executives for coming to see him and how supportive they were and he would work for the CW in an instant. I cannot believe all of this negativity has not scarred the production. It will be interesting to see whether this is the last season. It is hard to see where they can go with it. I have to agree with the poster who said the lead character just continually pontificate. I read the actress doesn't like exercising so you never see her move a great deal. The actress playing Octavia is the exact opposite which is why she is great as a Grounder. |

Murphy must be thinking.... "A new season means a new bunch of people to kick seven shades of sh*t out of me"
![]() Clarke is so incredibly annoying that apart from her knockers she holds no interest for me at all - The Murphy could eat her bloody brains (not much of a meal) for all I care!

If only he had The Murphy and and army of zombies on his side then he would not be getting a weekly kicking!

Knowing Murphy's luck if there was a The 100/Z Nation crossover he'd probably get beaten up by people who thought he was The Murphy

The second apocalypse does make me slightly more eager to watch this season. But I can't say I'm interested in seeing more tiring wars and conflict between the Sky People and the Grounders/Ice Nation. It's been done. We've seen enough massacres to last a lifetime on this show
. What I think the second apocalypse will do, though, is really shake up the status quo of the various groups on the show. I think the remnants of the Sky People and Grounders will probably become one united tribe under the same banner and that will probably bring peace, eventuallly, when the show ends. But getting back to the main premise... I still find it ludicrous that the nuclear power plants, that were destroyed in the first apocalypse, are melting down now after 100 years of the initial nuclear catastrophe. Surely that would've already happened decades and decades ago and most of the deadly radiation from the plants would've dissipated by now? The whole premise seems a little forced by the writers. That said, I'm more than happy to accept it as I'm just a casual fan of the show. But I think I would've preferred it if they came up with a different explanation for the second nuclear apocalypse. Maybe ALIE had her own nuclear arsenal strategically placed all around the world as leverage against the humans and activated them in revenge? I mean she was cunning enough to plot against humans and wipe them out in the first apocalypse, so the idea that she had her own nuclear arsenal hidden away in some underground bunker wouldn't have been farfetched. |

And something about how nobody ever reads the instructions until after they unwrap a new gadget and plug it in and didn't see the 'explosion preventer thingy not included' note until it's too late. They don't have to dwell on it or even do the 'science bit' to any great depth, just something to say why now, and why so many in such a short space of time. Certainly an ALIE insurance plan of some kind could work as a fairly self-contained reason. |

Yes, e.g. we get something about 'new design, all went online at the same time, all reached the explodey threshold within a few hours/days of each other'.
