Severe warning - Premier Sports

Check your bank/credit card account if you took out the £5.00 offer for the Northern Ireland v Croatia friendly as Premier Sports are now lifting another £12.99 this month!

I took out the offer and cancelled it on the 16/11/16 - the day after the match but the £12.99 was still lifted.

This morning I phoned them and they denied receiving the cancellation from me (they said they had checked their phone records and could find no trace of mine). Indeed they tried to offer me a reduced subscription of £4.99 for 4 months for what is basically an ice hockey channel.

I will be contacting my credit card company to try to get this money back and stop any further payment. Does anyone else out there have any further advice?

This happened to me with a company from which I'd bought some dog coats,they kept taking money. I complained to Trading Standards who discovered the company had been doing this with hundreds of people. The couple who ran it are now in prison ! So it's worth complaining (and to the credit card company of course).And I got my money back. If you complain the credit card company should put an immediate stop on any transactions while they investigate and ask you for a statement about it with details.

Threaten a small claims court action which is what I did with help of Trading Standards when had similar issue with another company. They also said the standard "all calls are recorded for training and quality purposes" any time you phone.

First think they got told was produce the recording of my call, which they didn't as they knew they were lying and in the wrong. Therefore got summary ruling against them and all costs. Not producing recording is an immediate fail for them as it's their fault they did not keep or have deliberately lost not yours.

It used to be quite difficult to stop a Continuous Payment Authority but I think it has been improved because of all the misuse of them.
