Makes perfect sense, this is what the Cuban Missile Crisis was for, a distraction to make everyone look the other way while the highly-skilled mysterious records department and document forgery ninjas sneaked in to the registrar's office with their highly-skilled mysterious rubber stamps and did their stuff.

The Independent is now worse than the Express for puffed up rubbish, and that's a hard title to take. But saddest of all is that the Guardian has been following up some of the Independent nonsense and trying to present it as 'news'. Desperate times may call for desperate measures, I guess, but that's a real shame.
