I didn't post the original statistic but it's easy enough to find a source: https://www.trusselltrust.org/what-we-do/

The Trussell Trust’s 400-strong network of foodbanks provides a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. In 2015/16, we gave 1,109,309 three day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.

It was actually about 40,000 when Labour left power, so it's about a 25x increase under Osborne. Any food bank use is too much in a civilised society in a developed economy.
