I was really getting to like the Sky App with the familiar SkyQ look, now it goes to SkyGo when not at home so I have to go the Sky+ app now to make recordings and its just not as good. Why did they screw it?

Also on my Q box the UHD section of Sky Cinema has gone, it was good seeking out the UHD movie list to watch on my 4k TV now they are mixed in together.....grr.....or am I missing something?

My box keeps defaulting back to 1080i as well which is a pain....

Is it just me?

My Sky Q app looks just the same as it always has and able to set recordings while on 3G also.

UHD is still showing under Sky Cinema on my box.

I did have the reverting back to 1080i which seems to of been resolved when I selected 2160 8-bit rather than 10-bit which my tv did accept but was only an 8-bit panel which I assume may of been the issue.

I was getting that problem, even in 8bit.

Solved by changing the order I booted.

I now put the Sky box on which boots my TV, which boots my amp. This handshaking does the trick and it stays in 2160p, with a perfect picture.

If I switch the TV on first it's hit and miss. Sometimes it reverts back to 1080i, stays in 2160p with a soft picture, or is perfect!!

The UHD went on Cinema as the box had reverted to 1080i. My TV is 10bit and I often such hdmi inputs for my ps4. Maybe happens then.

Yesterday the Skyq app kept saying no box when away from home and insisted I went onto Sky Go buy today it looks back to as it was before....

On another note I keep seeing a kind of mpeg ghosting in front of some moving objects. Maybe TV rather than sky. Tried turning off lg trumotion to see if it's that...

Can anyone clarify if Sky Q boxes can download 1080p on On Demand? I'm not sure if Sky can do this yet. Thanks

Where would they get it from ? All programming is transmitted in 1080i. Sky-HD boxes don't support 1080p broadcasts (not that there are any on satellite from 28.2E).

Thanks, but I was asking about Sky Q boxes, and On Demand downloads, not from satellite.

All downloads are 1080i - otherwise Sky would need 2 versions of all the content.
