I can see the op,s point as Danny was consistently better throughout the series but then again I haven't also supported the 'best' dancers so if that's whom people wanted. Haven't seen the final so can't comment but congrats to both him and Jo.

Maybe the scrutiniser was hiding on the grassy knoll .

I think the BBC have better things to do with their time than rig a celebrity dance competition.

People on these forums need to get a grip!

Ore won fair and square, but out of the three finalists, I know which finalist will be remembered in years to come.

OK I just watched the dance back again and I do not see any mis-steps in Danny and Oti's show dance. The only errors he had was in his QS.

Thrilled with the result. Totally awesome.

In your opinion. In my opinion, the right person won....

I don't watch Strictly apart from looking at the final, so it was all new to me. I thought the bloke who won was a bit OTT with the drama and tears. Seemed a bit full of himseld. I thought he was an actor at first, with the way he carried on, til I read he presents something on BBC.

So at least they made sure one of their own won!

You're just speculating.

No, the trophy is Ore's because he had the most votes tonight. So therefore, he is the true winner.

Remember that with his lumpen, static semi-final Arg. Tango Ore wouldn't have been in the final but for the judges manipulation of the scoring. But they wanted Claudia OUT.

Then tonight the judges prompting and Ore's snivelling on cue was sufficient to swing it in his favour.

The most facial result since the Chris Hollins win.

I think Ore won fair and square, the public thought so.

This might have happened to everyone, but when I was phone voting, there was a funny noise so I don't think that some of my votes were registered. Maybe the line was just busy.

Why was his showdance embarrassing?

It really does amuse, bemuse and irritate me in equal measure when people state completely baseless speculation and untruth as fact...

Yet all we heard from bitter fans last week and the press that there was going to be a backlash on him, that he would never win, that he was so unpopular, yada yada yada...

The snarking and griping and bitterness didn't win out. People saw beyond that. They saw beyond the lies and unfounded accusations and they voted for the person who danced best on the night. Len always mentions when someone has no dance experience - every year, it wasn't the first time. Ore wasn't the only one who cried tonight. It wasn't just his family who was shown...and people can invent imaginary dance lessons if it eases the pain all they want, it still doesn't make it true or change anything.

Just because your fave lost, doesn't make it a fix. I wanted Anita or Georgia to win last year...they didn't and lost to a ringer. C'est la vie. Some years my fave wins, most years they loss...sometimes my fave is a ringer and I get irked when the judges mention their opponents haven't danced before, and other years I like a novice/duffer and decide that THIS year, it should be about the journey! It changes nothing because the winner is decided by the public. People need to stop being such bad losers.

It was a great final, with three great celebs and the best man won on the night.

Although I would have liked to see Danny and Oti win of the three, I am not one bit fussed that Ore and Joanne won. It was obviously the right result as they had the support and votes to win. Well done to all the finalists for making it that far.
