As I said in my last post, I don't think that he was desperate to win. When the result was announced, he didn't seem at all disappointed and immediately went to hug Ore.

Which just shows, that he doesn't have a huge ego, he's a great sportsman, and a good guy. But if he entered the final dances with no hope and want to win, that's not good, honestly.

That's a matter of opinion. Danny was in the dance off the week before the final, so it wouldn't be surprising to find out that he felt like he had no chance of winning.

Which I mentioned already. Expecting to win and wanting to win are two different things. Wanting to win is good, expecting to win is obnoxious.
Louise, I think she would like to have won but to be honest I don't think she was that fussed, she was just happy to be in the final. |

Both Danny and Ore wanted to win, I believe neither expected to win, more so Ore going by Jo & Ore's reaction when his name was called out.

Do not believe that Ore has not has some sort of dance training.
Being a BBC person he knew months ago he was doing Strictly. So got the practice in early. The fact that the Beeb are not releasing voting stats just proves to me that it was a total fix from the word go. Awful winner worst one for years. The bbc never release the voting figures, so nothing different to every year. No fix this year. The final, well I think he proved himself as one of the best and most worthy winners in recent years, I do not rember a final where the winner nailed every single dance on the night in such a way. So one of the best winners in recent years. |

I think people are forgetting Danny himself is actually one of Ore's biggest fans. He looked so genuinely happy for him when they won and was the first to run up and give him a hug telling him to go get his glitterball.
The two seemed to have struck up a lovely little friendship. Looking delighted for each other when they got good scores and patting each other on the back when things didn't go so well. I think Ore would have been just as happy for Danny and if you look back just before their names are called Ore it looks like Ore is looking at Danny and Oti with a smile, expecting their names to be called. Ore and Jo pulled it our the bag for the final and fully deserved their win. I'm sure Danny and Oti are just very proud of their own achievments, and happy for their friends. It's a reality show after all not the be all and end all. |

Danny and Ore seemed to have a really nice relationship, after they had finished all four were hugging each other. Oti said her and Jo are close friends and she was always a fan of jo and had her posters up. I do not think anyone is saying anythjng bad about Danny, only he wanted to win, which is human nature when you are in a final of a comp. It is nothing to be ashamed of or needto deny. |

Of course he wanted to win. For himself, and Oti. It's not bad to want to win a competition you take part in. IMO it's fake humble to say that you want to win for your partner, but not yourself.
He was very clear he would have loved to win as payback for Oti - that is of course him wanting to win, but the reasons why are up to him, so I think it's rather unfair to label him fake because he said he wanted to win for his partner rather than for himself. Ore said the exact same thing (he wanted to win for Jo and for his family) but isn't being labelled a fake for it! |

Yes, I noticed that on saturday night, I think he was looking to see what Danny did in the winning moment. I really believe he had no belief he was winnig this and thought danny would be the winner.Jo too, she was casually clapping along, waiting for the name to be called. |

How is it fake humble if it's true?

There's a big difference in thinking that you deserve to win over others vs wanting to win because you busted your arse off and worked hard for it. IMO the first is obnoxious, the second s healthy and normal. And I don't believe anyone saying, that they want to win for others, bt not for themselves. IMO it's pandering to audiences who demand this eternal humbleness, and not taking pride in your own hard work. |

The CEO of Bournemouth Rugby Club, James Croker, followed Ore’s progress from the start as he played for the club’s First XV team in the 2004/2005 season as a winger. “I think he epitomised who rugby players are and their values. He was very humble, but very competitive, and had respect for his competitors,” he said. “He was a winger so he always had fast feet and good footwork. Everyone at the club has got fond memories of him, he’s one of the nicest guys you could meet.” When asked whether Ore was as emotional after winning a rugby game as he was after winning Strictly, he said: “That was completely uncharacteristic of him, but it was obviously overwhelming for him to win.” |

Completely honest here.
Danny DESPRATELY wanted to win (no judgement from me). He's an (ex?) Hollyoaks actor who has some theatre experience (quite a bit) and wanted this gig as promotion. This was a 'career move' for Danny, in a way that isn't true for either Ore or Louise. It was a 'gig'. I'm not saying that he is mean or will feel angry at not winning, but, like Tom Chambers, he wanted this to launch a WE career as a lead. That's pretty obvious. And I still think he has succeeded with this. He's done what he set out to do. |

It's a gig to most people who take part - they are looking to expand their public profile one way or another. I think they love doing it or end up doing so but it's still a gig do you really think it wasn't to Ore who's raised his public profile expondentally and what's more there's nothing wrong with that.

I think every celeb who signs up does a little bit of performance training in the summer to get ready, so even Ed balls, but it still makes him a 30 year old novice with no prior training to this year, which is remarkable. The bbc never release the voting figures, so nothing different to every year. No fix this year.

So one of the best winners in recent years. If you choose to ignore the 2013 Hey Ya dance he did in 'Dance For Comic Relief' which is all over You Tube. No dance training whatsoever for that...ahem... And one of the luckiest winners. Two dance offs, and the judges 'pet' in the notorious semi final. That stank. |

How funny, we have both waited so long!
I forgot about the bit of a high you get when the person who you vote to win actually does win. I was so suprised when they said Ore I actually screamed! Quote:
Never been known to do it before, watching Strictly, I actually did a double fist pump, so pleased that the best dancers actually won.

That stank. ![]() Ore only became the judges pet when it looked like he could win - before that people were saying Louise was the pet. The truth is, Ore wasn't the forums pet, which is what is the main issue people have. Lots of winners have been in dance offs and no one whined, but hey ho, I'm sure that was different. By the 'been in a dance off logic' the rightful winner would have been Louise and I certainly don't see any of her fans screaming fix. Maybe because they can accept that the right person won on the night. |

After 13 weeks in which the red tops will have gone into his past with a fine toothcomb lopking for evidence of previous dance education for a shock expose. The fact that no such story appeared when it would have been hot, convinces me that he really isn't some closet ballet kid or whatever. |

I think that performance is the evidence that he had no dance training. It was pretty rubbish dancing; sporting and mildly drole but there is very little skill in evidence other than a natural sense of rhythm and timing.
