My thoughts - Danny should have won...
A good final, in many ways you could make a case for all three who were the right finalists for sure. Some great dancing...glad every score wasn't a 10 just because it was the final and they voted honestly. The result...Ore winning. I'm annoyed, Danny & Oti were the most consistent throughout the entire series. I guess all the 3 were deserving in their own way. With Ore my problem has always been...that i think that he hasn't been very consistent and that he took himself sometimes too seriously. After watching the final tonight, i thought he had a shot at winning it...a possible twist...i determined that Louise would be relegated to runner up.
I have to say in all my six years watching Strictly, Danny has been outstanding this series and it's another wrong result for me (Georgie & Giovanni last year, Kimberley a few years before, Rachel Stevens further years back). I don't even like him as a person, but he has impressed week on week and made it look effortless. But in just a little way, i'm glad that an outsider of bookmakers odds won it...all these reality shows people vote for the favorite and that's it! So a twist and unexpected win was nice..A shame we will never know the final percentages because of the publicly funded BBC deciding not to point blank as the previous years tell us! ![]() And finally...thank you Len Goodman! All the other judges who make this show what it is. You will be missed on this show! He has been coasting along this show and you can tell he's not as bothered about as he once was as we are all when we leave a job! Tess/Claudia work brilliantly with Zoe on It Takes too. Digital Spy for your sneaky spoiler ever Saturday! Those professional dancers work HARD, they make this show what it is. Ed Balls particularly showed how you can embrace anything in life with 100% and get public support and have fun and the rest of the fab lineup. I was originally rooting for a Will Young win, so it's sad as i thought i'd be supporting him on the final tonight! ![]() whatever his true reasons for leaving . So, a great series, Strictly really is the golden goose...storming the ratings week on week this show will easily continue for years to come. Here's to Series 14!

Ore was the most consistent tonight. The rest of the series doesn't count.

You have your thoughts and others have theirs. I have to say that Danny was no where near as good as in previous weeks, and thank goodness the judges votes didn't count. Craig gave a 9 to Ore in one dance just because he didn't point his toe in one step, then having noticed that Danny was totally out of sync in the beginning of his quickstep routine and then made another error near the end, he still gave him 9. There was no comparison between the two dancers.

Fair enough! I did say my opinion though. You could make a cause for all 3 seriously. Not for me though...It's nice it was a twist winner though, that's all i can say. His Runaway Baby was excellent though, so...but he wasn't consistent he had some awful weeks! I did like his reaction though, he genuinely didn't think he'd win.

Well sorry that's the way the cookie crumbles. In the thirteen years I have watched Strictly only twice has my favourite won, so if you are going to continue to watch and enjoy learn to accept that not every time can you get what you want.
And sorry there is no way Danny should have won tonight or any night. |

Quote: OK there was comparison, Ore was far better than Danny tonight and that is what the voting public saw and that's why Ore won. Sorry if you wanted Danny to win but there isn't going to be another vote.

Are you saying the russians hacked the phone vote?
Who should win is purely a matter of opinion. Votes wise, the majority did not agree with the OP. |

Ore definitely won the final. I say this as someone who is a huge Danny/Oti fan.
I think I like the fact that Strictly is becoming more like GBBO, in the sense that all is forgotten on final day and you win based on what you deliver on the night. Wins like Gough and Chris Hollins annoyed me as they clearly were not based on the dances on the night, but Ore was the best performer tonight and thus deserved to win. |

I wanted Danny to win before the show, but Ore truly stepped up with all three of his dances and he deserved to win.

Danny messed up in the first two dances. Ore didnt put a foot wrong tonight so in my opinion was the winner of the final. Danny probably would have won if he hadnt made those glaring mistakes!

Len should have had his moment and montage thank you tonight, it seemed wrong! So he has one in the XMAs special that's crazy or are they pretending that''s live like every Sunday!? It's Len's last day tonight!?

I wouldn't say so. Danny had no 'journey'. He looked halfway professional from the very first dance. If Danny did perfectly and Ore made clear mistakes, then just maybe.
![]() ![]() Can i just say. again....i am not disrespecting the fact that everyone has their own opinion, that's fair enough and i respect that! He won fair and square etc. I was just saying my opinion that's all. Everyone on Strictly works SO hard that almost anyone winning it deserves it in their own way. |

Danny,Ore,Louise or even the hyperactive Claudia that so many think should have been there..........
...........nah,I'd take Laura over all of them. Out in week six, that's the real injustice of this series. |

I always vote in the final based on overall performance during the entire series- and for me- Danny and Oti won by a mile on that criteria.
I can see why people would have voted for Ore and Joanne tonight though, if they were just basing it on the 3 dances tonight. Danny and Oti's Samba- just perfection- best dance of the night for me. |

I could see the Ore win happening as i was watching the final. The judges were rooting for him, Craig looked a little miffed! Yeah Danny did go wrong tonight to be fair but throughout the series he's been superb!

It's Len's last day tonight!?As for the topic, I agree that Danny was the best of the series and fully expected his name to be called as the winner, but I felt Ore and Jo were comfortably the best on the night and having supported them (mostly Jo TBH!) all the way through, I was delighted for them. |

Er, he did have his tribute tonight. And a pro dance dedicated to him.

I've just seen it back, it was a brilliant tribute, so fitting & deserved. This must have been the 10 minute break i had ha ha! Seem abit stupid now! Yep totally agree...perhaps Ore best of the night but Danny deffo best of series. Plenty of glitterballs about on the tour for the rest of em, i'm sure Louise and Danny will get some... |
