Danny messed up in the first two dances. Ore didnt put a foot wrong tonight so in my opinion was the winner of the final. Danny probably would have won if he hadnt made those glaring mistakes!

Ore was best overall on the night...
Louise: Her first dance was the Cha Cha Cha, it was lacklustre, had no energy & had hardly any hip action. It felt as if she didn't want to be there. Her showdance, was a lot of wafting of the arms to please Darcey & I still did not understand what they were trying portray ![]() Her Tango was her best dance of the night. Overall her dancing was good but didn't have the wow factor. Danny: His first dance was the QS, he made several mistakes and one that was so obvious even the Judges couldn't ignore. Maybe nerves played a factor, I dunno. His second dance was the showdance. Was brilliant if you like contemporary, it wasn't for me. His last dance of the night was the Samba. Again a brilliant performance but it lacked the impact the first time around. Ore: His first dance was the AS, his posture was much improved, Craig pointed out one tiny mistake that he didn't point his foot in one move so gave him a 9. Overall much improved dance from last time. Gene Kelly's Widow, Patricia, was in the audience & Claudia introduced her after the dance. His Second Dance was the showdance. It had everything in it including giant set of drums. His last dance was the Jive. Was clean and sharp, much improved from week 4. Overall both Danny & Ore out danced Louise and IMO she came 3rd. Ore upped his game, he danced as if he wanted to win. Danny danced as if he didn't want to lose. Louise was just happy to be in the final. I think that was the main difference between the 3 finalists. Plus Ore must have won over a lot of the 35% of floating viewers who hadn't decided before the final who they were going to vote for. While waiting for the winner's name, they were looking at Danny & Louise and even Jo was tapping her hand along with the audience clapping. Both Jo and Ore were in total shock when Ore's name was called out by Tess. That was my take on the Finalist, but I'm sure many will disagree

I hope that the Danny knockers noticed that he was the first two rush over to Ore and give him a big hug when he was announced as the winnfer.
Typical of Danny, what a lovely, genuine guy he is. ![]() |

He is a lovely guy but people will see what they want to see. He can do no right according to some.

As for the topic, I agree that Danny was the best of the series and fully expected his name to be called as the winner, but I felt Ore and Jo were comfortably the best on the night and having supported them (mostly Jo TBH!) all the way through, I was delighted for them. Spot on, I agree entirely.

I thought prior to last week Danny had it locked up but then his dance off appearance made it a lot harder to call for me, part of me was convinced Louise would quietly slip in there but I was definitely thinking it would go down to the dances on the night and unfortunately for both Danny and Louise Ore brought his A game to the final. But throughoutthe series Danny has been excellent, I haven't quite enjoyed his dances as much as Ore's (I was the same in 2013, Natalie was the better dancer technically but I preferred watching Abbey and Aljaz) but I wouldn't have been complaining too much if Danny had produced 3 belters of performances and subsequently won, ditto Louise.

Anyone else find that the success/less than stellar performance of the first dance seemed to carry over? Reminded me of matches where teams get off to a bad start and can't regain their mental equilibrium.

Danny was the best dancer of the series so it does leave mea bit sad that he didn't win.
The producers do have a say in the result in that they choose the dances each couple perform in the final. Danny's QS was no real show stopper for the final, neither was his Samba ...... yes they were good but never the most memorable of the series. His Tango was THE dance of the series, especially the promenade bit, and the other was his Charleston in Blackpool ...... thanks judges for not choosing his strongest and spectacular dances!!! I found Louise's final dances very lacklustre, her 'ho down' dance was her best and again did not feature. I know they choose dances from earlier in the series but most of the time they are not as good as the more recent dances. Ok, so Ore's AS was a lovely opener to the show, top it with Gene Kelly's widow in the audience, a bit more crying and he almost won it right there!!! His QS was very good but he did have his two very best and spectacular dances in the final, unlike the other two couples. Perhaps the public should choose the dances in the final? No sour grapes here, Ore was a lovely winner, but if the likes of Harry Judd or Jay had not have won their series it would have been a similar situation ....... however never, ever, ever, as bad as Chris Hollins!!! ![]()
