I agree,

Danny went in with easily the biggest fan base. If Ore won Claudia easily could have.
I think voting was volatile this series. Polls were all over the place too.
Also the void left by ed balls....I though his vote would go to claudia or to a lesser extent JR.....in fact it seems the 'anti' vote (ie. the 'third' finalist alongside favourites louise and danny) went to Ore...with a little helping hand along the way in the semi from the joooodges.

(Since last year's rule about 'No dances from the previous 3 weeks.' doesn't seem to apply anymore.)

And a Showdance.

In other words - Yes.

I think she could have easily won but I personally couldn't warm to her. I found her quite stompy in her dances. There was a lack of connection between her and AJ. Their dances were very good but left me feeling nothing. I also didn't like how she reacted when Len (I think) called her up on an obvious mistake one time (she denied it) and I didn't like her reaction to leaving over Danny! She seemed very bitter. It showed poor sportsmanship! Must have forgot that Greg was booted over her (who did FAR better on that night). I understand that she was disappointed but it can be handled better. Although she is a better dancer than Louise I do warm to Louise more personality wise. I am very happy with the final 3 I like all of them.
We must be watching different shows. Thought she was very gracious and really appreciated the Strictly experience, saying how much it had helped her grow as a person. Didn't get any sense of bitterness at all.

I thought Ore and Danny performed very well in the final, bar Danny's mistake in the QS. I thought Louise was a complete bore fest though tbh. I was a little baffled at the judges getting her to do the cha-cha again and then there was her very underwhelming show dance. I would much rather have had Claudia there, who had an amazing back catalogue of dances to choose from, not to mention her show dance which would have been something else.

So in answer to the question, not only do I think she could have easily competed with the boys in the final, I also think she would have had a shot at winning. I never felt Louise was in the running last night.
The volatility of the public vote made it hard to figure who would win. Danny had finished behind Ore and Louise with the public last week, yet 2 weeks ago Ore was in the bottom two! Based on that I thought Louise might win.....until I saw her showdance. Kevin seemed to be trying to prove he can do more the 'throw the kitchen sink' at it....sadly for him it failed to inspire. The other two meanwhile went 'horses for courses'. My guess is Ore's 'showmanship' (and blubbing) won him the extra votes. But it is just a guess!

Poster had it in for Claudia.

Take everything with a heaped pile of salt.

I agree, I thought she was understandable disappointed but bitterness, no. That is not Claudia's thing. Claudia was upset with her Rumba because she knew it wasn't good enough and the scores reflected that. She is a seasoned competitor and has dealt with bigger disappointments in Rio.

She has achieve what she wanted which is more confidence and most artistry to put into her gymnastics. She can't do the tour and she isn't going be available to work for the BBC until she retires from gymnastics, so that is why she was not allowed to win.
Ore was always going to win, thought Oti is the best dancer and deserved to win with Danny.

Quite definitely YES!! Danny and Louise looked knackered and they lost technique and made mistekes. Claudia had the stamina and the precision..she was in fact, the ONLY one to compete against Ore..and finally, her show dance would have been sensational!!!!
And this is why she had to go in the semis so Ore could win.

After reading this I am pleased that Danny didn't win. Sorry Danny fans.

She did.
To exercise all those flips, at that speed, in a perfectly straight line, down a narrow corridor of people, was fantastic. I knew we were in for something like that as soon as I saw her in trainers.
She proved to be the best entertainment throughout the series and should have made the final.

lol no

I think Claudia would've coped with any nerves from her day job, her Charleston would have been a big crowd pleaser and could've been complemented with her VW maybe. We'll never know for sure, but I suspect she would've stood a better chance of winning than Danny or Louise.

IF she had been given the 'big-up' from the joooodges that went to ore instead in that now-infamous semi final...who knows what she could have done and how much extra support she could have generated. It now seems that danny and louise didn't have the levels of support some on here imagined, and Ore HIMSELF WAS IN THE BOTTOM TWO the week before the semi.
The fact that we are still talking about someone who didn't even reach the final after the winner has been declared says it all really!

I think Claudia would have excelled in the final

would have much preferred to have had her in the final than boring, beige Louise

I wouldn't, hated some of her lumpen dancing and the thought of a gym fest showdance leaves me cold.

It doesn't really say it all, there's plenty of celebrities in every series who get talked about well after their elimination.

BIB This over-the-top description makes me smile.

FYI I'm not still talking about why a certain someone didn't even reach the final. In fact I was never talking about why this certain someone never reached the final

Ahh Nina I wouldn't say anything to upset you deliberately, just fed up of reading beige comments when that wasn't my opinion. But I can see why you liked her so much and she is a lovely girl.

I agree and totally unnecessary.
From anyone else I might take note.

As much as I'd like to, I can't be in a mood with you.

I like you as a poster, even if I totally disagree!

Definitely yes , and could possibly have performed better than at least two of them , but for some reason she didn't gel with the judges and never stood a chance of reaching the final .
I'd love to have seen her show dance .
