Can't they find someone better than Tess Daly to hand out the trophy?

I would have liked to have seen Len hand out the trophy or failing that someone else with a bit more dance status than Tess Daly.

maybe Harry Redknapp should have done it.
he could have donated the fee to his parrot in Switzerland, or sumfink

It's always been the host, until this year it was Bruce and if you remember, he used to get very annoyed when friends and family and the other dancers rushed onto the stage - not because the winners were being upstaged, but because he was.

Just re-watch Bruce doing it to remind you it could be worst. Just.

I think it should have been Len in his final programme. It would have been a nice touch. Should not have been Tess or Claudia.

She is the main host so she's the obvious person but I agree it would have been nice for Len to do it. And asking the head judge to present a dance trophy actually isn't a stupid idea.

It would be nice for the previous year's celeb winner (and pro if available) to hand it over.

Failing that though, head judge and definitely Len this year.

All seemed a bit rushed, and no clear photo op shot - Tess and Claudia blocked it.

I don't think it's a big deal who hands it over but maybe, just this once, it would have been a nice touch for Len to have had the honours.

We don't know, he could have been asked to present it but wanted it to continue as normal with Tess presenting it. We don't know.

It always is, they try to keep the programme on schedule. The media will get stills off the TV pictures and there will be photo opportunities later. Do we really want a load of press photographers invading the dance floor at the end? I think they are right to limit who is on the floor - no friends and relatives until the programme has ended. I think the other competitors and professionals did not go onto the floor until told to do so by Tess.

I agree, would have been an extra special tribute to him as the main presenter always does it.

It's the same every year and always so rushed.

Just what I was thinking.

Would also like to see at least another 10 mins on the show to interview the winners, runners up etc. after the glitter ball has been presented. It's such a big thing for the winners, but it's almost as if "....so you've won, now get off............" Bit insulting really.

It would be nice, perhaps better suited to Red Button as in previous years because I suspect that everything said would be very predictable. Joanne seemed to be in shock, i can't imagine her being able to give a coherent interview for some time!

The Queen should have handed over the trophy but I think she was watching The Hobbit on ITV.

Ive always thought it ends too quickly. You have all the hype of the show, then the present the trophy and that's it. It falls a fit flat then. I too think it would be good for last years winner to present it. It could be part of their contract that they come back.

It would have been better last night if Len had presented it. Especially as he was such a supporter of Ore.

Did they not have the red button this year. I wasn't keen on Ore so wouldn't have watched it anyway but it does give a bit of closure to the proceedings.

Can't ever have a judge hand over the trophy. The newspapers would have a photo just waiting for the word FIX to be written beneath it.

Freudian slip? LOL. I agree with most of the other posters on here that it would have been special for Len to hand it over.
